Disagree, I love the Blue Jackets name.
What they really need to do is avoid names that don't end with an "s" (Wild, Avalance, Lightning). All terrible. Especially Wild and Avalanche.

Colours are probably the only exception. Columbus Blue Jackets, Duke Blue Devils, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox. All fine names. Even if Duke sucks.

It's speculated yes, but Foley himself said while he is partial to that name he wants to speak with the league and listen to other suggestions. Foley really sounds like he wants to do this right, I like him alot in the short time he spoke.

The odds are out already. The over/under on points for Las Vegas in the 17/18 season is 72.5, +150 underdog in home opener.
Also, the biggest question to be worked out that really almost no one is talking about is that Las Vegas doesn't have a regional sports network. So it's a big, big question as to who is going to televise the games. Of course, there's a while to work that out, but Foley, in addition to having to put up $500M for the team and who knows how much for a practice facility and an entire front office, might have to start a regional sports network and work on getting it on cable, satellite, etc. Will be fascinating to see how that works out.
