Pretty sure Jon Arryn was Littlefinger's doing.

Wasn't Jon Arryn killed by his wife based on Littlefingers orders?

Haha, this one actually made me laugh out loud. Thanks.
I stand corrected about Jon Arryn, thank you for the correction. I guess I don't take this show that serious or I would have known that ? :P At what point did we learn that information though I don't remember.

Not at all. He just was boring as a charcter, everything came back to the same thing: He's sadistic. Great, we knew that basically after season 3. By the time he was killed the additional things we learned about him were....he likes feeding people to dogs? I think the actor did a good job with the character, it's just not his fault the character is just a one note character.

It's OK to have a diverse cast. Ned Stark was basically to good for his own good, and it got him killed. Ramsey is the opposite. It is showing that anyone is vulnerable. The good, evil, and in between. I've got zero issues with the character, the plot points and the development
|
Ned Stark was so good he had a basterd child. Sounds like a flawed character to me. Ramsay was just a guy to do sadistic #### week after week, nothing more and nothing less.

Stannis disputes this assumption.
oh, I guess Robert can be chalked up as a Cersei kill. but what a ridiculous plan: replace the king's wine with extra strong wine, in hopes that he'll stumble into a particularly aggressive boar and get fatally tusked, all while the best swordsman in Westeros is too slow to help. who knows, maybe she also arranged for that particular boar to be in the woods during the hunt.

I would bet my cat that Jon Snow is not Ned's child.

Then he's a liar, which runs counter to his honest image. He still has way more depth as a character than Ramsay.

It's already been shown that Ned has lied about a lot of things that happened at the Tower of Joy. Most notably, the way the battle went down. He let everyone believe that he out-dueled Arthur Dayne. In reality, he lost to Dayne, and Dayne was stabbed in the back before he could finish Ned off.
That's a far more self-serving lie than lying about Jon's parentage in order to protect potentially his nephew. In a brutal system where children are executed due to their lineage, it hardly makes you a bad person to protect a child.
Edit: They've also made Jon's parentage suspicious from day 1. They purposely made it seem odd that Ned just came back from battle with a child.

I liked that this bad guy was a one note evil spider. I thought it was cool. I'm also super happy that GL doesn't write for this show, yikes.

We all assumed Jaime and Cersei were behind Jon Arryn's death because the first time they are shown on screen is them discussing a secret of theirs that Jon discovered. This discussion is happening with Jon's dead body lying in the background. But they never actually commented on the cause of Jon's death, just whether the secret he knew about them was safe now that he's dead.
Then Lysa writes a note to Catelyn saying "I think the Lannister's killed Jon, don't trust them", Cat shares this knowledge with a bunch of Starks and travels to King's Landing to tell Ned.
Then finally when Littlefinger visits Lysa Arryn in the Eyrie, she professes her love for him, and recounts that she poisoned her husband Jon on Littlefinger's orders, and now they could finally be together.
So it was well done misdirection for the viewers, since we were lead to believe for the first 3 seasons that Jaime and Cersei kicked off all the events that would follow. But then we find that Littlefinger has been manipulating things even more that anyone expected (except maybe Varys).

Ya my bad. Seriously though it was a great episode. The over the shoulder view of Jon stumbling around in the chaos is the best scene I've ever witnessed in a TV show and definitely up there for any movie as well. Just amazing.
Also apparently this scene here was real, no CGI at all, they lined up 40 horses, pointed them at Kit and said "Charge!". Acting or not man that would be intimidating.

Glad the Ozzy Man review mentioned Apocalypto. Exactly what I was thinking in Rickon's run.
