A buddy of mine owns a body shop and every year he sort of wishes the worst, he's not sick like to wish injury accidents but a few brutal snow/hail storms usually keep him happy.

I told him too bad he wasn't in the U.S as he could manufacture some TRUMP car flags, make a fortune selling them and even more money fixing the damage to the cars displaying them.

If you ever wanted to see Mitt Romney do a wrestling run in, have I got the video for you?

What the hell?

Is there any context for that? That's... what the hell?

Another weekend...another round of Trump news:

-breaking news this morning as his campaign manager (Lewandowski) leaves the campaign or is removed. Speculation it's to try to pivot to being reasonable but this is Trump so who his campaign manager is likely doesn't matter. Trump needs control.

-Speaking of reasonable, Trump managed the impossible and made the NRA look reasonable in one aspect. Trump essentially saying the Pulse patrons should have been armed. NRA saying "um no. Alcohol and guns shouldn't mix."

-Trump also saying that the GOP members that speak out against him after they have said they would support him should shut up.

This might get fun yet.

Lewandowski was allegedly fired because the Trump kids said so, and he was escorted out of Trump Plaza. Then one of Trump's state directors took a shot at Lewandowski after he was fired, and the state director has promptly resigned as well. He sure does hire the best people after all...

Four gun control measures up for vote today, but you already knew how they went right? Two of them actually got 53 votes but obviously in the fillibuster world that's not good enough.

There is some crazy stuff being talked about by the media regarding Trump's campaign. It sounds like his campaign is crumbling and things could get really interesting. CNN is saying that his campaign currently only has $1.3 million in cash and has been struggling to raise cash. Trump has long claimed that he is and will self fund but the talking heads on CNN are questioning whether or not he actually has enough liquidity to fund his campaign.

There is still a month to go before the party goes to Cleveland and it will be interesting to see if his campaign can get on the right track.

lol to call them even gun control measures, jeesh. These Republicans....

The John Oliver bit on how they won't even allow the CDC to research gun deaths is so sad. Talking point by the Republicans "there is no research to show more gun laws will help" ... Then do everything in their power to stop any research from ever being done.. Well played you inhuman morons.

Seems like the wheels are really coming off of the Trump bus now:

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/0...general-224580

Coles notes:
-Trump has less than $1.3 million in his campaign warchest--less than most senate candidates, and less than the defunct Kasich and Cruz campaigns.

-Trump has no staff to speak of and no organization.

No wonder the GOP is panicking. Unless something changes soon, there will be a mad scramble for the lifeboats on the HMS Trump. The RNC needs to focus its efforts on the down-ticket races, or this fall could be Armageddon for Republicans in Congress.

So there will be a convention dark horse, and the GOP will still go down to a Goldwater-like defeat.

It will be interesting to watch, though. But I think you're right. Obviously November is a long way away, anything can happen and so on--but I am starting to get the feeling that the RNC is getting ready to more or less concede the White House and devote their resources to protecting the much more important prize, which is control of Congress.

Meanwhile, Trump is (per the above link) funnelling what little money his campaign has into rental fees for resorts that he owns, and.... Well, hats. Lots and lots of hats.

Trump does so much damage down the pipe. You are right. Keep what you can of the two Houses.

bah....this is politics and people with deep pockets will abandon their principles if they believe it gets them more influence. We'll see examples of very basic game theory soon.

Trump gets his money, and then some, shortly from non-traditional sources. Then those who were holding the traditional purse strings will panic as their percieved influence will be diminished. So they will cough up the dough as well in panic.

Do not bet against Trump in this. He's cagey. Mind you, I like that Clinton is showing some fight and not just taking Trump's recklessness for granted or dismissing its effectiveness.

Yeah it's not about betting "against" Trump, it's basically betting how stupid Americans will be. Because there's nothing "cagey" about what Trump is doing right now, he's simply running the single worst campaign in modern history, and maybe the worst campaign in history period. If his opponent weren't who she was, he'd be in the low 30s in the polls staring at a 20 point defeat. I suggested it loooong ago and I'm coming back to this again, but Trump doesn't even actually wanna win. Do his actions strike anyone as someone who wants to win? He's just out there taking a piss, having the time of his life and mainlining his own ego. That's what should worry people, that a guy who doesn't want the job could end up getting it. That likely means everyone behind the scenes will be running things a la George W. Bush.

Trump is so much more different than any politician. The notion there's any influence in a Trump Presidency assumes Trump isn't an insane pathological liar with severe mental issues. You can't control or have influence on an individual like this. No one is coming to help him either, because those rich donors are going to enjoy watching Trump crash and burn, and being exposed as a massive fraud. Looking more and more like Trump will wish he never ran by about August, this is just the beginning of the excavation of his past and whole life. Still so much more to come that will bury him. And that's another reason donors aren't coming to save him, because he's effectively a lost cause already and throwing money at him likely means you're funneling it back into the Trump organization, which very well may have been the con from the beginning, use this to pump money into his company. He's quite cash poor it turns out.
