Thought Florida wanted to bring back Brian Campbell. Guess that won't happen.

That's crazy history repeating itself if true. Yandle is basically what Campbell was for the Hawks when he was Yandle's age and Tallon signed him to that big deal.

Rangers were not going to spend $$$ to sign Yandle, so they apparently get a sixth and conditional

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
NYR receive a 6th rounder, plus a conditional 4th round pick in 2017 if Yandle signs with the Florida Panthers.

With the Rangers losing Yandle, they need a veteran puck mover on their backend. Dennis Wideman would fit real well.

Hey, could be. They're the best in the business at getting rid of bad contracts. Maybe we could hire them to get rid of Wideman, and pay them a commission!

They would hope they still have some of that Redden Magic. That Marc Staal contract is leaning on "anchor" status and Girardi ain't looken too hot either.
