Ugh Friedman you crybaby. Love the guy but this is just plain nonsense.
If his relationships in the NHL are that fragile that people making up stories and quotes and attributing it to him is getting him in trouble then he needs to work on strengthening his relationships.

That's not how it works. Who is being the crybaby here?
His words get twisted so he doesn't do radio hits in order to preserve the relationships and his livelihood. You're upset you don't get the inside info you're entitled to

Boomer claims that Friendman told him that he gets more heat from his Fan segments than he does from his segments on TO radio and on HNIC combined.
Then said that it is too much work to prove to people that these alleged bloggers are making up stories by showing the real people the on demand clip.
Sounds like a bunch of BS to me. Honestly I have a hard time believing that NHL people are this stupid. Bloggers make stuff up all the time. Like all the time. Now all of a sudden it is affecting Friedman and no one else?

Does Toronto not post these interviews to listen later? Maybe that is the problem? The FAN posts these interviews and allows these bloggers to transcribe them and make the hits sound far more juicy than they actually are. That Nichols guy does this all the time. Helpful for fans but obviously an issue for the reporters

I'd find it more believable if he said he doesn't like taking calls at 5am est.

The point Boomer relayed though was that his entire career depends on the connections he has made and for one of them to come to him and question his credibility, Friedman has to dig up through the interviews and pull the original one out and show it to them to negate any doubts. It's a lot of work and when your entire job is based on your credibility and trust, it makes sense.
I hate the situation and I hate that they were able to isolate it to Calgary interviews, but I get it.
