So for those who follow it much more closely than I, how are the Jays prospects doing this season? Guys like Alford and Guerrero and the like?

Alford is having a rough season with a .205 Avg. His OPS went from .825 last year to .540 this year at the same level.

No info on Guerrero which is strange.

Pompey is hitting .286 in AAA, and is probably ready for the MLB right now.

Other top prospects

Conner Greene has a 2.97 ERA in 13 stars at A+, not quite as good as last year though.

Jon Harris (former 1st round pick) has a 2.3 ERA at A ball in 10 stars. probably will get bumped up a level soon.

Sean Reid-Foley just got bumped up to A+ and threw 7 scoreless innings there in his only start. Played well in A ball before moving up.

Max Pentecost is hitting .252 with a .616 OPS in A ball, heading towards bust status.

That's about it for top prospects. They have a lot of filler guys beyond that that are all unlikely to amount to anything.

It is probably the worst group in the MLB.

That's why the Jays took so many college players, so they can slide in and fill out the mid/upper levels.

They probably need to have 2-3 more drafts of a similar type in order to flesh things out more fully.

Really, they only have Alford and Pompey as legit prospects over A ball.

There's a reason they have like 40 rounds in baseball, you get picks out of left field that turn into MLB stars.

EE was a 10th round pick
Bautista 20th round
Martin went in the 17th round

Troy Tulowitzki has missed 39 games to injury in his time in Toronto. The Jays record in those games: 27-12

I dont like the guy as a Jay and would love to see them turn him into some pitching while allowing the jays some freed up dough to re-sign EE.

He is such a black hole on offense and can been somewhat replaced on defense.

I dont know. Just seems like he simply isnt working in Toronto.

My man there is a reason that the Blue Jays had David Price, Josh Donaldson and Troy Tulowitzki at one point. The window for success in the MLB is small you absolutely have to capitalize and "go for it" when the opportunity is there.
Especially under the "parameters" that Rogers had set. Hoffman, Norris, Boyd, Gose etc have done nothing compared to what their trade counterparts have done for the Jays. The Jays will never be big free agent signers. Right now they have an insanely good team, AA went for it and I don't blame him. Sure the Dickey trade didn't work out that for us but whatever, the Mets are still in the same spot as the Jays, without a World Series for a long time.
