I'm unsure what happens but I'm hopeful to carry on in a pleasant way.

Oh man, no I am not nearly as pious as many people on here think I am.

Personally, I have found that doubt and skepticism run hand in hand with my journey of faith.

I'd rather have 72 strippers or at least women that know what they are doing.

Lying in a hospital bed, a dying man began to flail about and make motions as if he would like to speak. The priest, keeping watch at the side of his bed, leaned quietly over and asked, "Do you have something you would like to say?"

The man nodded to the affirmative and the priest handed him a pad and pen.

The priest said, "I know you can't speak, but write a note and I will give it to your wife. She's waiting just outside."

Gathering his last bit of strength, the man scrawled his message on the pad and stuffed it into the priest's hands.

Moments later, the man died.

After administering the last rites, the priest left to break the sad news to the wife. After consoling her a bit, the priest handed her the note.

"Here are your husband's last words. He wrote them just for you."

The wife tearfully opened the note which read: "Get off of my oxygen hose!!"

I spent a long time trying to figure this question out. My view is that there is nothing, just a total cease of existence. Coming to that realization has made me look at life in a whole new way. It is precious, short and should be be truly "lived"

I don't have any 100% confidence in what I think will happen, would be cool if it was not the final bow for me, but my hope is rather we find a way to extend life, which I'm sure we will in the next 100 years, to a point where life will be eternal if you so choose.

Eventually we will become more machine than humans, and the idea of life will no longer have any real meaning as we as robot like sentient beings travel the universe looking to conquer and expand.

I hope we end up like the borg, that would be cool

Not sure how else one can answer a direct poll question, when there is no option for, "Don't know". Honestly not sure what undecided even means in this context.

I'm fascinated by the reincarnated part of the poll, if those people would be willing to share is this the reincarnated as human or animal?

I've thought a lot about it over the last couple years as well. As you do, I believe that life is precious and short (some way too short). But after losing my wife, I can't believe that she's "just nowhere". Obviously I have no clue, but believing that she has been reincarnated or in heaven helps me sleep at night.

I think there's something bigger than us out there. As to what it it might be I have no clue. Death is not the end.

"As long as we can love each other, and remember the feeling of love we had, we can die without ever really going away. All the love you created is still there. All the memories are still there. You live on—in the hearts of everyone you have touched and nurtured while you were here. … Death ends a life, not a relationship.”

Either human or animal, I just believe it's all about energy.

I remember us having this conversation at least twice in the past year or so.

I definitely agree with your view, as well as what that means for your perspective on life as a result.

Reminds of a great scene from the movie Shawshank Redemption. Life comes down to a simple choice:
