How is Bouw getting more votes than Warrener? Warrener was a warrior who gave it all every night while Bouw was terrible.

Leopold only had 3 full seasons in Calgary with an additional abbreviated time period after a trade deadline, with around 230 games played. People fondly remember him, but he wasn't a dominant player or anything. At least Bouwmeester was an above average defensive player who regularly covered for the mistakes of others with his speed and skating. Morris was a long-time Flame and was a good player, but was stuck in the Young Guns era of ineptness.

Morris looked good at first, he was talented and then he became a lot better in his own mind than he was. Watching him screw up when he was traded to the Avs made me laugh.

Regehr, Phaneuf, Gauthier, Simpson - all in their prime on - bone crushing defence! Add in Neil Sheehy and Sarich for a little more assurance. Flames defence these days look like a boy-scout club!

What? Bouwmeester was above average defensively? When?
