That, and most of what's known about Reirden came out today on CP so fresh info influences the decision making.

After reading about Reirden, he is my first choice of the three.
But Gulutzan's name just won't go away (Friedman and Garrioch), so I am inclined to think it's him.

God, this isn't about me. I just wanted to gauge the public opinion.
Most say Reirden either sometime this week or at the draft. Neat.

|
Phaneuf fit so well they traded him.
Babcock comes in...and the team is dead last in the league.
Carlyle knows a thing or two about playing defense in the NHL.
I might also point out that when Carlyle was fired, the Leafs were 5 games over .500 for the season. They finished 14 games under .500.
Nobody has had much success in that market for 20 years as a coach or in the front office because they never ever had the patience necessary to see things through.
That being said Carlyle is not my choice for this team either, but the guy can coach and his resume is a very good one.
he has won 104 more games than he has lost in the regular season and has won the ultimate prize as well.

Brad Treliving's season ticket holder information sessions is Wednesday evening. If there isn't news prior to that, perhaps he will give us a hint during the session. Or in Brad style, say a lot of words without showing his hand at all.

I think Reirden as Head Coach with Carlyle as an Assistant Coach (not Associate) would be a very sensible combination. This way, Carlyle would be there for experience and advice.
