Rather impressed that he kept coming back after bleeding like that, although I can appreciate that Turkey would be upset at the time that was wasted on patching him up. Still, there was enough injury time added to make up for it.
Really good performance by the entire team, credit to Turkey for sticking with it though. Frustrating to hit the woodwork that many times, but the three points are what matters.

I hope big Robert has a good game. This tourney needs someone to crack it open.

Manchester United's Paddy McNair is expected to get the start against Poland
edging out Fleetwood Town's Conor McLaughlin.
Lots of depth in the Norn Iron squad.

If they had/moved to anything other than God Save the Queen, IRA bombings in Belfast would've likely been cut by 70% over the years.

You can just feel a Northern Ireland fluke goal coming after Poland has dominated the whole game.

Ugh this is scary. Exactly what I was expecting. Tons of Poland pressure but only a few chances. Fully expecting an N. Ireland goal.

I know what you're saying, but only with NI football could you troll the fans by having one of their best ever ex players on the panel.

This reffing is pretty crappy both ways.
Phew. Was hoping to see more goals but they had the possession at a level I was expecting at least. Next up is giving another beat down to ze germans.

Hate how often Poland and Germany are in tge same groups. Weird dynamic with my favourite and 2nd favourite team competing for the same spot.
At least a German win is probably good for Poland as Ukraine is their big challenger.

Why would any self respecting Pole support Germany?

Born in Germany and when I was a kid Poland was awful at everything so I jumped on that bandwagon and have been on it for probably 20 years now.
The Poland - Germany rivalry isn't as heated as TSN and BBC would like you to think. I always get the vibe that Polish people have quite a bit of respect for Germany. Never had any issues openly supporting Germany when I'm over there.

Ukraine had the great early chance, but otherwise all Germany and they get the early goal unlike other teams who dominated.
