A lot of guys will try to hit it right on the needle too. It can create crazy knuckle-like movement on the ball

C'mon, It wasn't huge. Had a bit of dip and a teeny swerve.

He placed himself wayyy too far towards one side then guessed towards the other side and wrong footed himself. He doesn't move and the ball is straight at him.

Sure, place yourself a bit towards the more open side but maybe a bit more to centre.

If Bale had curled it to the other corner not a hope in hell he was getting there either so was pointless to be so far over.

Decent kick but more of a keeper #### up imo.

Smart too to interfere with the wall preventing them from jumping.

Jason Voss agrees with Bagor and on second look I'll concede he has a point. Still a great kick. Also, wtf is up with Voss' head?

The wall, while a must-have, can also screen the keepers' vision. It's obvious at contact he thought Bale was going near-post. His momentum was going the wrong way. Still keeper error, but you can see why.

I could easily both of these teams getting a result against England, especially with Roy's "cunning" squad selections.

England fans might get banned from the tournament at the rate they're going. If you're an England fan you hope the team has half the fight of the fans.

How does the ref not call that against Skrtel? Ridiculous. Should be a free kick outside the box.

I still haven't figured out what the goalline one does.

If there is video evidence after this game Skrtel is looking at a ban.

And now they can't figure out the substitutions board.

That Slovak goal was the first goal scored against Wales in a tournament since Pele

And Skrtel with a massive shirt grab and no call. I wonder what he actually has to do to get booked.

Does Bale's hairstyle irritate anyone else? Or is it just me?
