The Jays took BJ Woodman and Dante Bichette's son Bo.
Woodman is a CF that profiles to be a good OF with high contact rates and some pop. Bo Bichette is a fast SS that hits well and has a lot of pop like his old man. May profile to be a 3B or 2B down the line. Two very high upside bats with pop and speed.
Add that to a pitcher that throws 97/98 MPH that is 6'7" and that's fairly decent.

We decided to drop by and catch the last few innings of the game, bad timing. Going to the game tonight hopefully we're better good luck charms. First time back at a Jays game in 12 years. 42 bucks for 3 tall beers, crikey.

This isn't quite accurate based on everything I've read/seen.
Woodman's calling card is is his power (but he has a concerning strike-out rate) he is a centerfielder and might stick there but that's uncertain. Murdered pitching this past NCAA season but got mudered the prior summer at Cape Cod. He's the rare "risky" college pick as the Jays are basically betting that the more recent NCAA performance is the true Woodman as opposed to the Woodman they saw in the wood bat Cape Cod League.
Bichette is not fast, in fact I would say that his speed is actually below average... I watched plenty of vid on him when I heard he worked out for the Jays and he isn't a good runner at all. He's a decent fielder but he won't stick at SS, I see him as a 2B. Excellent bat speed (he's got some real good power) from what I'd call an unconventional swing.

I agree. I'm not too crazy about the Woodman pick but I like Bichette. Even if he doesn't stick at SS the Jays are very thin in not only infield prospects but up the middle IF prospects and I like that he has pop/power. Be nice to see the Jays get some better position player prospects as I find they very thing in that area.
Woodman seems like the typicaly Jays outfield prospect over the last few years. Good athelete but a below average bat and they are hoping the bat develops. Hasn't worked out with guys like Dwight Smith or DJ Davis so far so hopefully Woodman can be the exception.
I really like Zuech though and think that was a solid pick. Even if he can't crack it as a starter he should turn into a decent bullpen arm based on the reports on where his stuff is right now.

Zuech is intriguing for me. 6 foot 7, 20 years old, with a fastball that can touch mid 90s. Sure I'll take it. Neither Bichette or Woodman really blow me away. Sounds like Bichette somehow told 4 other teams that he wasn't going to sign with them as he was basically set on becoming a Jay.

Makes sense.
The Jays don't have much in the way of MIF prospects (I'd say the second he signs he's probably their second best one behind Urena who will stay at short, if he see's himself as a 2B then he instantly becomes their best 2B prospect). Unless he stinks in the minors he has a clear base path to the major leagues, won't be blocked by anyone on the way up.
Also selected today (thus far)
Jackson, Zach
Arkansas
RHP
Palacios, Joshua
Auburn
CF

Biggio, Cavan (Son of Craig)

On bluebird banter they mentioned Zeuch might pitch for the Vancouver Canadians. That would be really exciting to see.

Apparently Tulo re-aggravated his leg injury and his return will be pushed back.

You haven't noticed how we're struggled to turn double plays on ground balls to short ever since he's been out? Particularly when Barney is in at short?

Connor McDavid is here in the Team N.A. Jersey, I'm assuming he's throwing out the first pitch. Should I throw a beer at him?

Two bad strike outs and a pop up by smoak ruin an otherwise good start to the game

Those beers are expensive. Drink it first. But you cant get any distance with an empty can, so recycle that beer back into the can and then throw it.
