Default Video Game Music

I was listening to this at work and there are quite memorable video games themes here:

I have always enjoyed these ones too:

Anyways, just wanted to share some Thursday work day music to listen to and I wasn't sure if there was a video game music thread yet. Feel free to post your favourites

Mostly instrumental metal band that covers video game songs and all sorts of nerdy songs, kind of like if GWAR went full on nerd:

Deus Ex HR soundtrack is phenomenal. Kudos for the Rogue Spear track. A few of my favorites.

The original track is great too.

All of the Mass Effect tracks are great.

Basically, everything from Bastion

They are rage, brutal, without mercy. But you. You will be worse. Rip and tear, until it is done.

I actually recommend the entire soundtrack. Amazing stuff

The Doom 3 menu theme was really great too. I am a big fan of Halo's music especially from ODST.

A few more:

I love listening to Vomitron (no NES for the wicked) remixes and the Smooth Mcgroove acapella songs are great.

I would post links for them but I'm on an iPad.

Don't want to clog up a single post with a ton of songs...here, have my favorite video game song of all time. David Wise is incredible.

Got thinking about Super Mario RPG from the other thread.

Probably has one of my favorite final boss themes ever. Just such a fast paced, bombastic jam. It gets you pumped to fight. Here's a 30 minute version.

The final boss music in Donkey Kong Country is awesome too:

And Yoshi's Island:

Really, a game is only as good as it's final boss music. And I love when the final boss music is totally different from anything else you've heard and plays with your expectations. Sets up the stakes!

Who else uses youtube to mp3?

Great thread, my car music USB might get a nice injection to the video games folder.

Tetris theme or LOZ theme while parking is always fun times.

For those that are looking for live video game music, the CPO is doing The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses - Master Quest. Went to it a couple years back, was pretty good.

September 22 at Jack Singer.

I love that chugging, heavy theme for Wolfenstein as well.

Also, I definitely came to thank any post that included Mass Effect music. I love the tracks in that game, even the seemingly unimportant, ambient background stuff that doesn't stand out. I may be biased, with it being my favourite series and all.
