Yea, i don't get the spread of an extra night between games. I guess they wanted to avoid a conflict with the NBA finals. Definitely favors the Sharks with their older core of players.

I didn't really have any rooting interest but I think I am going for the Sharks now because of the butt hurt should they win
no chance, average team, got lucky ect.
They need to win two games to capture the cup and every game in the series has been a close score

In recent years, they've been pretty consistent with a Monday-Wednesday-Saturday (repeat until done) schedule for the Final. They likely bumped last night's game from Wednesday to Thursday to avoid the NBA, but that doesn't explain why they didn't make Game 6 on Saturday and 7 on Tuesday.
If you think the break in the NHL schedule is bad, look at the AHL Final: Game 3 was on Monday and Game 4 is tomorrow. I guess Lebron James is a bigger deal in Cleveland than the Calder Cup.

I wonder if Jones can pull a Kipper and steal the series for the Sharks. That was a phenomenal performance and I agree with Healey when he said it was the best goaltending performance in Sharks' franchise history.
I'm still rooting for the Sharks, but the Pens are clearly the better team and deserve to win it.

Which series would that have been? Kiprusoff was amazing in the 2004 SC playoffs, and the Flames undoubtedly would not have advanced beyond the first round without him. However, unlike the Sharks in this year's Final, the Flames skaters were never so badly outclassed by the opposing team.
Jones has done a phenomenal job keeping the Sharks in games, but it really does feel inevitable that the Penguins win this series.

There's that car commercial where they tout the noise cancellation feature making the ride incredibly quiet, which got me thinking - how much would you pay for a phone app that would detect Glenn Healy's voice coming out of your television and cancel it right out, while affecting nothing else?

I would buy him a brand new phone, install that app on it for him and then name it something like "Glenn Healy is ****ing Awesome!" so he never deletes it, but can't figure why he suddenly can't talk to anyone...

Calgary vs. Detroit in 2004 was absolutely stolen by Kipper

Here I was getting all excited to watch the game tonight on hockey night in Canada and have some brown pops. What a disaster of a schedule.

Havent been able to watch many games these playoffs as I work until 9:15 during the the week, except on Wednesdays, but I have slow pitch during those nights.
Ill be able to watch the game tomorrow night, but I am annoyed its not on a Saturday, especially since the NBA finals aren't on tonight either.

I think the NHL should postpone tonight's game in light of the Orlando massacre.

The Vlasic/Kiprusoff trade has to be one of the biggest win/win trades in NHL history.

Just watching this Polak / Dillon pair on the ice it's incredibly obvious how overmatched they are, especially Polak. Guy cannot exit his zone clean to save his life.

Just in case you forgot how bad playoff officiating can be, there's a couple early reminders.

Yeah that interference in the neutral zone should be kept on file as "exhibit A" for a call that gets made in October but never in June.
