Plus, it does have one redeeming quality in the business of forum.
I really like the history of hockey forum there too.

Without an adblocker it is pretty much impossible to use those forums. With one it's fine.

My favourite poster on HFBoards has to be ChaoticOrange. Seriously, if you ever want a serious laugh read this idiot's posts. I think he might be Kevin Lowe.

The amount of crow eaten about Johnny alone is worth the occasional gander over there.

He was bashing Hamilton and his contract last night and someone pulled a quote from him last year saying he was willing to offer sheet him from Boston at 6M x 8. Haha it was hilarious.

Apparently they didn't need any more draft picks if they got Hamilton. But now Nurse and Klefbom both have more value than Hamilton.

HFBoards are a gong show but I'd miss it if it was gone.

Oh yes, that is his thing. You forgot Davidson is just as good as Hamilton. Other gems include Hall being worth more than Subban and Carlson, Eberle can fetch either of those guys. Nugent Hopkins is a much better player than Monahan and is better defensively than Backlund. The other thing I love is he thinks Hall is the mvp of the Oilers and should be the Captain. Oh we can only hope!

^I definitely agree with all those experiences. The oilers fans on HF are absolutely clueless (in general) as to how good players around the league are.

I do maintain though, that HF is a fine place to be if you can put all the main board Oilers, Leafs, and some Bruins (don't know why but some Boston fans can be very disagreeable even though I don't mind their team) posters on the ignore list. Really isn't all that bad, and it opens you up to some more unique perspectives that you don't get on CP.

As a Sabres fan, reading hfboards Hurricanes' section is flat-out quality entertainment.

Well there won't be a place for them to disappear after the first few weeks of the season and the Draft hangover fizzles out so maybe they'll stick around here longer?

Guys, as bad as Oiler fans are there you have to read what Leaf fans think #1 would be worth to the Yotes. It is pure gold!

Anyone that think Toronto is going to give up a franchise center for anything less than a kings ransom is delusional. Matthews does not have a sale tag on him. If ARI wants him they are going to have to pay through the nose. Quantity does not equal quality. Leafs already have too many contracts.

The offer will start with OEL, Domi, ARI 1st or the conversation will be short.

But he's not wrong.

From Toronto's perspective, they only give up Matthews for something that ridiculous.

But at the same time, Arizona wouldn't even let Babcock finish making the offer before hanging up. So yeah, the conversation would be short.
