If you look at the area, most "new" developments have stopped within 2-3 lots from Crowchild, presumably as people know it's going to get appropriate the land.  These lots are mostly for setback, not roads so I suspect the "rich" houses will not be raised.  They may need some serious sound barrier work though.

			Is it just me, or is there no way to get from east-bound Bow Trail to Crowchild Trail...even in the longterm plan? Maybe I'm missing something, but that seems like a pretty big oversight.

			The city lacks collector roads on their major freeways, so I don't mind seeing that for the portion between 24th ave to 16th ave to ensure safe weaving. Deerfoot badly needs these at some sections. 
 
I like the tunnel option since it does two things, it allows Crowchild to serve its primary function, and opens up a new urban boulevard corridor right above it. University Drive NW would essentially go from the University all the way to Kensington Road. That's great development corridor potential there. And with that, it also gets the job done in connecting the communities of Hillhurst and Parkdale together. 
 
It would cost a #### ton though. Plus lots of a homes on the east side would have to be removed. (Although could be developed upon again once construction is completed)) But it appears that with the alternative option, it would be set up that if they ever wanted to upgrade to it, it's possible. So the question is which one to ultimately plan for? 
 
The at grade option is okay since it removes lights, until the they say the speed limit would be 60KM/H? WTF? That would defeat the whole purpose wouldn't it? It needs to be a freeway speeds in order for the whole corridor to address the whole purpose of the study.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you are travelling south on Crowchild, and want to turn on 5th ave NW or Kensington, you'd have to exit West on 16th Ave and then go through all 3 roundabouts? I was puzzled by that at first, the rationale for that might be to have people take the EB 16th Ave off ramp and get to Kensington Rd via 14th St / 10th Street.  Takes traffic off of the relatively residential Kensington Rd.
