You know we're in a bad place when a Canuck fan and a Flames fan agree. ..

The Sharks suck.

That's going to happen in the Western Conference with all the parity. One year the Kings win the cup, the next they are out of the playoffs. Sharks could go from missing the playoffs to finals to missing the playoffs again. Then you have teams like the Flames, Avalanche, Stars, Wild, Canucks, Predators, etc that could all make or miss the playoffs any season. It's kind of crazy to say that every game matters in an 82 game season but in the Western Conference you really can't afford to let too many games get away and multiple bad months of hockey are probably (Ducks managed to turn things around this season) a death knell.

You think the Canucks could make the playoffs next year? I don't see how.

I wouldn't put my own money on it but they could spend to the cap in free agency on guys like Lucic, Eriksson, Backes and become good enough to be a bubble team in the immediate future. They are a rudderless ship so hard to predict what their offseason plan consists of.

The Canucks were backed by all-world goaltending this year, and STILL finished third from the bottom in the NHL. They are not making the playoffs next year under any circumstances.

The fact it grated on your overly sensitive nerves and that you actually think there are "Shark Haters" out to make you fell bad is really telling. (Shark Hater? Really?)
I didn't realize a Stanley Cup final the Flames aren't involved in is such a touchy subject for some. Hopefully it's over next game to spare you having this difficult time drawn out.

Boy you're a real winner.
I just said I don't care if they win or not, so I don't know why you're acting like I'm some distrought crybaby on the topic. If you have so much angst about what one poster said about "True Flames fans" then take it up with him instead of spewing your usual self righteousness because some people want to see Thornton and Marleau lift the cup.
It sounds like it's absolutely tearing you apart inside that people are cheering for the team you're against. With this much bitter rage coming out of you right now, I'm happy the Sharks are one game away from losing because I'd seriously be worried about your health with the amount of stress and trauma you would be under.
The only person that sounds butthurt in this thread is you

lol, and the hissy fit continues.
I did take it up with the guy that said it... by posting a mocking one-liner about it. Then somehow, inexplicably, your feelings were hurt and you ranted about "Shark Haters" (like there's such a thing?)
I'll just say what I said before: It's astounding their are so many hurt feelings in a series the Flames aren't in. You are case in point of that.

Bias commentary is bias is suppose. Doesn't matter how you want to slice it they earned their way here. I don't think anything they've done in the playoffs has been average at all. Jones has been rock solid. The depth guys pitched in and the top line lead the way to the finals.
The inexperience of even the vets is showing in this series against a core that has been to 3 cup finals and are in the verge of going 2 for 3 in their appearances.
I was pulling for the Sharks but it's not the end of world. Pittsburgh put their big boy pants on for this series. Kudos to them.

I'll say it for the third time, I don't care if the Sharks lose, so get over yourself already and quit being such a sore winner.
And yes, every team has haters. The Sharks are a divisional rival and I can easily see why people would hate them and want them to lose, but I can just as easily see why people would want Thornton and Marleau to win a cup. I can also see why people would want to see a guy like Kessel win a cup and a Conn Smyth, or for Crosby and Malkin to extend their resumes
I'm leaning 55% towards the Sharks and 45% towards the Penguins. I like both teams. I've seen over 20 Penguin playoff games this year compared to maybe 6 Sharks games, but two players who I have massive amounts of respect for are playing for their first, and probably only chance at the Cup. Them winning it would be much more memorable to me, and if you can't handle that, too bad.
I'll say it one more time, if Pittsburgh wins, I'll be content. I've been content this whole series and have been thoroughly enjoying these fast and exciting games

The more you go on and on and on, the more upset you sound, despite your claims of the contrary.
You're starting to bore me now anyway, as my initial comment that got you so riled up was in jest and you missed the context.
Moving on I'll say I'd like to see the Sharks win another just so we get a few more games to end this season. If the last few pages are any indication, it's going to be a long summer without Flames hockey.

Please tell me how my last post came across as me being upset. I can see both sides of the coin, why people want the Sharks to win and why people want the Penguins to win. This is the most neutral I've ever been during a Cup final. I don't cheer when either side scores, I'm just enjoying some entertaining hockey.
I don't understand why you can't figure that out

Uhh if Brandon Sutter was healthy all year we would've made the playoffs. Edler too.

I wouldn't say the Sharks sucked. They still made it to the finals. I would say they suck compared to the Pens however.

It's going to take a miracle for the Sharks to come back from this. I'm rooting for them, but also kind of hoping that the Pens win it quickly so that I can finally cancel my cable for good, as I was only keeping it around to watch hockey.

Gaborik for the Kings in 2014. 14 goals in the playoffs. No way they win that cup without him.
