Deceased isn't really the go to way to say someone died in a thread. Kind of threw me off.

Shocked he's only 42. He looked to be at least 60. His body and brain took a beating over the years. RIP.

Ditto, I thought he looked to be 38-40 around the time he went pro. Still tragic to go that young.

Sorry, didn't mean to come off combative there like you said the wrong thing, it just genuinely threw me off a little. It works.

I imagine that his body and organs were a very old 42 years old.

Sad to see, but he lived a life that was probably going to make this happen sooner rather then later.

I think steroids probably did the biggest number on him.

Bareknuckle fighting probably did it more than steroids. They'd go for a long time, one of them with Rich Gannon was just insane.

Holy crap this guy was a legend when I was in Junior High.
I remember watching a lot of his fight vids with friends on ebaumsworld and sites like that. In between prank calling people with soundboards.....
That takes me back. RIP.

On their own, steroids don't seem that dangerous, there's plenty of old juice heads doing just fine out there and there is a way to use steroids without 'red-lining' your body all the time (ie - mixing steroids with booze, coke and bad food).

I've only ever seen evidence of increased heart failure with even very minimal steroid use. I'd be curious to know if that's changed. He looked pretty rough in his last fight where he got busted for steroids....could barely walk after fighting a guy who had two heart attacks and broken kidneys during the fight.

Anabolic steroid abuse is a known risk factor for a heart disease buffet - cardiomyopathy, premature atherosclerosis, arrhythmias, hypertension, pulmonary embolism and infarction.
Drugs are baad ummmkay? Don't do it.

I sure wouldn't.
But yes. Newgrounds, Ebaumsworld, Kazaa and MSN Messenger. That was the internet in my eyes from 2001-2005.
Then youtube came out and you were no longer at the mercy of whatever Ebaumsworld and Break.com posted.

Im sure it was ebaumsworld that caused me to puke due to the internet, for the first time. Without going into too much detail, there was a horse involved.

ebaumsworld was mild as milk when compared to the insanity of rotten.com, I still have images seared into my brain from 15 years ago. Sometimes the "sex pic of the day" was crazy and hilarious, sometimes it involved mutilated genitals, you'd never know until you clicked!
