Doing quite well in all physical categories. Very consistent. Endurance and benchpress seem to have been his best categories.

If Nylander is the worst case scenario the Flames can't go wrong

Edmonton Oilers @EdmontonOilers
"(#Oilers) was my second (interview), so I was nervous, but I think it went well." Alexander Nylander
Wonder if his interview was just Kevin Lowe asking him why his father backed out of their verbal agreement.

Three more guys until Keller's up. Juolevi isn't participating in today's testing.

Was hoping someone made an error and he was actually 6'1"
Still (obviously) my top choice for 6th

Gauthier is exactly the kind of bruiser Burke is constantly talking about acquiring. Having a player like that on the team would certainly help on the West Coast road trips.

The question is, how do we draft Gauthier and keep our 1st!

That Dallas first would have been perfect to package with a second to move up and grab Gauthier...

Id have no issues with nylander either.
Gaudreau and monohan
Bennett and nylander
Pairing to build your top two lines around.

I always really like to see the combine results, and then go back and see how the result may have or not have impacted the players during the season.
For instance, Nylander's numbers look fantastic.
One one hand, it shows commitment on his part to fitness and being a 'pro' at an early age. Seems like a lot less risk involved, as conditioning issues have plagued many a good prospect and prevented a career in the NHL.
On the other hand, Nylander does look like he isn't driving the line, or going at 'full speed', and McLeod (will have to compare his numbers) looks like he has a way better motor and better speed out there. What does this say?
Then you look at a guy like Sergachev. Overweight, but yet had a very, very impressive season. Does this imply that his ceiling - if a team works with him and corrects fitness issues - is actually higher than perceived? He would unquestionably become more mobile out there (though, how much is another question), and we all know mobility for defencemen are critical in the post clutch and grab era.
I don't know if Nylander has risen a bit in my books, or has lowered a bit. You take these combine results with a grain of salt each way I guess, but it is interesting to me.

For being so physically mature and in good shape, Gauthier's on-ice performance this year is actually really disappointing.

What's the knock on Chychrun for #6? Hockey IQ? He looks like a beast on paper, and scouts rave about his skating.

You guessed it. Hockey IQ and decision making.
I want to know the truth about Nylander. Half the reports say he shuts away from board battles and avoids contact. The other half say the opposite.
