QOTD: June 1st - what player in Calgary's draft range have you warmed up too?
Less than a month to the draft and a lot of discussion about players. Some big names have fallen down the list, others have taken their place.
Guys like Brown, Keller, Jost more in the conversation while a player like Nylander remains from the beginning.
Who have you warmed up to in the past 6 weeks since the season ended?

Nylander. If we don't draft him -- unless we get Dubois -- I will be severely disappointed.

Assuming there's no Tkachuk/Dubois I'm pretty firmly in the D-men (Juolevi/Chuchryn/Sergachev) or Nylander camp.

Gauthier. The more I read about him, the more I like what he brings, he may be a stretch at 6 but I actually really like him as a prospect.

I picked Brown, edged out Nylander slightly ... which isn't to say I'd take Brown over Nylander but it seems like the Nylander pick has almost been discounted when Calgary moved back but it may just simply be the easy and right move to make.
I left Tkachuk and Dubois out of it for obvious reasons. (poll would run away)

Wasn't on the Nylander train at all when I started researching the guys in our range more deeply, but am now on board with drafting him. If PLD and Tkachuk are gone by 5 then Im on the Nylander train at 6 now.

Juolevi. He was the least sexy pick of the 3 D, especially because his game is pretty similar to Brodie. But I think he'll be a pretty great NHLer and is probably the safest pick of the 3 D at the same time.

Juolevi for me. Seems to have all the tools.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Nylander and Tkachuk.
Nylander due to initial ignorance and bias on my part and Tkachuk because I've really warmed up to his play and potential role.

I expect the Flames to draft Chychrun. I have warmed up to the idea of Juolevi given his strong play at the Memorial Cup.

I prefer Nylander because of his skill and the fact I believe he's going to be a solid NHL top 6 forward. I'm have warmed up to Jost though. He represents a bit of risk but the upside is high if his performance at the WU18 equates to how he would perform in a full CHL season.

I was already warmed up to Nylander and out of that list would want him but if he's gone I'd take Chychrun.

I am hoping they pick Joelevi, strikes me as an asset that will have the most value in the future, whether its as a Flame or in a trade.

I would say I've warmed up to Brown the most. Although I am not sure the Flames should pick him as I still think his skating isn't up to snuff to keep up with the speed of the NHL. That can obviously be improved. Having a 6'6 center with soft hands who will only get stronger is really enticing.

I'm still the most high on Keller among the guys on the list, but I've warmed up to Brown the most. It's his skating that makes him very intruiging.

I should clarify. I think his acceleration needs improvement. His top speed seems good for a guy his size.

Between Brown and Gauthier. Went with the latter because of need. Have developed an opposite feeling toward the defensemen and Nylander. The more I find out about them the more I hope we stay clear of them.
