IMO beer prices are too expensive in Canada. The sin tax is basically a poor way to tax the middle and lower classes more. Taxing beer isn't going to stop a moron from drinking and driving.

The high taxes on beer are there to discourage people from buying it, and supposedly funding whatever government program is setup to deal with the negatives of someone drinking too much beer.

Drinking and driving is part of that isn't it?
