I thought Malkin was terrible as well. Looked lazy too me compared to the rest of the Pens. Held the puck too long, soft passes was what I really noticed though.

Burns with a bit of a stinker. He was awful on the end of game power play, twice in a row turning the puck over at the point. It's apparent the Penguins watched the tape and had players challenging his quick shots from the point.

NHL is such a copycat league. If the Penguins win the cup will teams jump on the fast players bandwagon? I've always been of the opinion that speed and skill trumps size and physicality. Sharks aren't slouches but they looked like a team that came off a long break as they simply weren't sharp and looked a half a step behind most of the night.

I doubt it. Teams will always grasp at straws to rationalize a philosophy of what's supposed to work rather than begin from what works and go backwards. Even last year you had Burke talking about how the Ducks were gonna wipe the floor with the Hawks. Them losing didn't change his mind, it just added another "exception". I'm sure a Penguins cup would just have another asterisk like "oh but the Penguins didn't have to go through the Blues and Preds and Kings, the Sharks were physically beat up."

During the season I accidentally recorded the OMNI Punjabi broadcast instead of the english one. But it ended up being awesome. So much better then whomever else was calling the game in english (it wasn't Bell/Hurdey).

And there's a couple short documentaries on Harnarayan Singh, one of the announcers, and he's as big of a hockey fan as you'll find. He's making it a point to grow the game with many immigrants. His wedding with his wife was a hockey-themed wedding. I'd love to sit down with the guy and have a drink and talk hockey with him. He seems like a cool guy.

He really should be calling games in English. Would be a HUGE upgrade on Romanuk.

HNIC Punjabi is epic. I used to work at the airport and had a few punjabi supervisors who didn't really know much about hockey but were interested and would ask me questions about it. Once HNIC punjabi started they became almost rabid fans. There would be a group of 5 or 6 of them who would go wild when the Flames scored.

Although he didn't feature on the scoreboard, watching Crosby in that last game was amazing. He was so strong and so skilled at the same time. He was such a pleasure to watch. I hope he keeps it up at the same level or more throughout the rest of the finals.

Crosby had a beauty assist on the 2nd Pens goal. And I agree with the rest of your post, he was the best overall player on the ice yesterday and he will have to continue if the Pens want to win the Cup.

Yeah, he was scary. Looked dangerous on pretty much every shift. If he plays like that all series the Pens will win. Maybe Malkin will wake up at some point too. He was nothing short of embarrassing last night.

I started watching the Omni broadcast during a EDM/CGY game last season. Couldn't stand the verbal fellatio McDavid was getting so switched. The Punjabi feed is awesome. Guy has so much enthusiasm.

I was so sick of Hughson's love for Lack, Sedins twins and Canucks in general, I switch to watching the Omni. I don't know a thing they were saying, but the enthusiasm was wonderful. I ended watching the rest of that series on Omni.

Online radio at http://player.tsn1410.ca/ and http://player.sportsnet960.ca/

There is a thirty minute pre and post game show on 1410 AM and a reminder that the game is also on NBC.

Do you know if CBC/Rogers has a replay of the entire broadcast for the SCF series online? There was a quick clip I wanted to show a family member in the pre-game show and I wasn't able to get to it in time.

Thanks!
