Reus is out for Germany with an injury. Really feel for the guy

I anticipate one of Sturridge or Rashford not even seeing the field.

Although, Roy will probably play Rooney in mid, and a 4-4-2, so 4 strikers would make a bit more sense then.

yep, so basically we have no answer if Dier or Smalling/Cahill pick up a knock, absolutely no answer

that's ok though because we have a 5th striker who won't ever see the field, and we brought two injured CMs

looks with that lineup like it ends up being the 4-4-2 diamond most likely so who doesn't start

Dier
Rooney/Wilshere
Alli
Kane/Vardy

?

Wilshere plays one and a half games all season and gets the nod?

Yeah, I know. Really, really sucks because one of the biggest problems Germany have is goals. We really could have used him, but if he isnt healthy enough to go what can you do?

honestly, it's mind-boggling. How can you go to a major tournament with 3 centre-backs and 1 holding midfielder (who's also your safety net in case a CB goes down)? Meanwhile Wilshere waltzes into the squad after playing a total of 141 minutes (!!!) this season and there's also an extra forward who probably won't play a single minute. That's dumb on so many levels and there's ZERO balance in this squad. Every time you think "well Roy can't be any dumber" he finds new ways to outdo himself.

Some people just want to watch England burn.

Were they playing him as a CB there? Singlehandedly cost Bayern their CL spot by playing Alaba as a CB.

no he never plays CB for Austria, we always use him in midfield. No idea what he was doing back there in that situation.

Yeah, he was in the traditional CB slot, why would Alaba ever be your last man back there? Thats strange. Anyways, I agree with you, thankfully just a friendly.

the commentator even says "he's somehow fallen back behind the centre backs there". Just a weird goal all around. Strange positioning from Özcan as well, who luckily isn't our number 1. Heck, he's conceded so many "unlucky" goals in his Austria career that he's probably relegated to number 3 now, just to be safe

Keepers want contentious pass backs to one side of the net. Can't befall Ozcan there.
