Just turned on the tv to see rain, umbrellas, and orange tarp.

Yeah this tournament is a disaster right now. Even more rain expected the remainder of the week. Seems like it'd be a shocker if they can finish by Sunday.

Yes, but you still need to have a show court closed off from the elements so these final matches can continue as scheduled. How many ticket holders that can't see the matches now will be concerned about the venues authentic charm?
This is supposedly the 4th biggest event on tour and it is run at a venue that pales in comparison to some of the smaller tournaments on tour.

Will they cancel it if it starts to really mess with the tour schedule?
I mean these players have other commitments, in and out of tennis.

Agreed. Indian Wells blows Roland Garros away as one example.

The French Open would take precedence. Scheduled for next week are a couple 250 level (men) and WTA International (women) events. Small time tournaments. None of the names still playing in a really delayed French Open would be attending those anyway.

Murray served for the both the 1st and 2nd sets at 5-3 and got broken. Lost 1st set 7-5, let's see how this 2nd set goes.

And then there's Stan, just lurking and having an easy time of it since his first round scare. Appears we're on course for a rematch of last year's final.

Goffin is gonna be kicking himself after this one. Won the first set, has set point in the second set, was up a break in the third set, going to lose in 4 sets.

Serena loses the first set to Putintseva. Would be one of the great upsets ever.

If Putintseva wins, you'll see one of the greatest celebrations ever.

Since y'all just left me hanging, I looked it up. Serena took the last two sets 6-4 6-1.
Damn.

So Novak and Andy in the final. Don't see Novak losing that one and I actually see him easily dispatching Andy in straight sets. The Novak Slam will be complete, the Career Slam done, and the Calendar Slam looking like it's all but assured.
