Hey, Star Wars sold its soul to the Evil Empire for a cool $4B so now we're going to get so much Star Wars we're going to drown in it.

Slurp your gruel and ask for more.

To be fair though, Star Wars is probably the most milked movie franchise of all time. Lucas certainly milked the movies for all it's worth and then some. Is there anyone who's made more than Lucas off of basically 3 movies?

I'm supposed to go to Tosche Station to pick up some powerrr Converters.

If I was going to remake the Star Wars movies, Uncle Owen would be played by Krkwood Smith.

I had a shop teacher in high school, Mr. Hamirik, first day of class he drew a line on the tip of his boot with chalk and said "Anyone caught goofing around with the shop equipment gets my boot this far up their ass." He never had to actually use that boot because we sure as hell listened to him after an opening statement like that.

Now a days he would probably be thrown in jail.

Haha, my shop teacher nicknamed his boots "little thunder" and "little lightning" while making a similar threat.

Disney not happy with first cut. Expensive reshoots this summer.

So do we believe the un named source that says they aren't happy and they are doing re shoots, or the Disney source who says they always planned to do re shoots?

The same thing happened with Suicide Squad and everyone jumped on it, claiming the re shoots were to make it more "funny". I think it is just Joe Schmoe spreading rumours.

Is this pretty normal for movies to do re shoots?
I wonder if we only hearing about it because it's Star Wars and most movie re shoots don't even get talked about?

Civil War did re shoots but nobody was jumping all over that one.. BvS did but.. well .. they should have just kept re shooting for another 12 or 13 months.

How could they have anything even close to a first cut ready already? There's still months of post-production work left.

Yeah it's pretty normal. I think it's usually at the directors insistence though.

Ok yeah, so they're reshooting 40% of the movie. That's not typical, or good

"Lighten the tone" and do a new Han cameo. That's a little disappointing. A dark star wars movie would have been ok.

The primary reasoning for this boils down to the most recent draft of the Rogue One screenplay, which came from Oscar winning scribe Christopher McQuarrie. Apparently, McQuarrie’s take on the script wasn’t finished during principal photography. Director Gareth Edwards had already filmed most of the movie, and whatever revisions came through led to the final product feeling uneven. Making Star Wars says that McQuarrie’s work is considered a marked improvement from what Edwards was working with originally. McQuarrie will be with Edwards during the reshoots to ensure that the two remain “on the same page” regarding this latest version of Rogue One.
Doesn't sound like a big deal.

And it now says McQuarrie has denied the claims that he is involved.

Personally I would take any mention of Star Wars rumours with a grain of salt right.

Too much hype around the product means it's a good way for a rumour site to get a quick infusion of clicks.
