LOL...the irony.
Transphobic?
Care to point out where I even got close to such a statement?

Not a Wildrose fan, but I like a Wildrose party without Fildebrandt much better than one with him. Couldn't stand the guy when he was with the Canadian Taxpayer's Federation and hate him even more as an MLA. He just comes across as so smug and smarmy every time I see him speak.
The last thing I want is a premier who wants to show off his "edginess" by being rude at ceremonial occasions or not realizing when to post (or not post) on social media.

I just hope the swing back to the right after the NDP's term isn't all the way to the WRA

If you are an example of NDP thinking, then you are walking proof that they are no better than the Wildrose.

That will depend on the PCs, really. I'm hoping they come up with a decent leader. Sooner the better, too.

Nenshi says he's been asked, according to him everyone wants him to lead every party.. or maybe he was conflating issues again.

Nenshi would be a bad fit for the Conservatives. He's just about the only person I can think of that could offer the Liberals a reason to not just fold, however.

Naomi Klein was in Calgary, linking the Fort McMurray fires to climate change. Apparently there is "scientific consensus", whatever that means. According to her, 90% of high carbon fuels like bitumen will need to remain in the ground to meet Paris targets.

An author using misrepresentations to push her book doesn't speak well to the value of said book.

Her arms must be tired from flapping them to get here.
Or else her broom might need an oil change from her flying it here.
She's an idiot and the fact that she's using a for real actual fire where people were evacuated and houses were burned by something that's happened for thousands of years (Out of control fires) makes me want to ask her how much carbon her peanut of a brain emits in a year.

Sorry man that's harsh, Mrs Klein is a high school graduate and a University drop out, who only revs up the rhetoric when there is a book to sell or a movie to promote, with those credentials I can't fathom how you can't see she is an expert on the science of climate change and her every word and idea should be implemented as policy, because policy is how we fix things.

Oh I feel terrible about the whole thing I really do. I wish her luck in the unicorn fart and pixie dust based economy of the future, of course then the animal rights activates will come out and kick her right in her private place with their plastic Birkenstocks for the cruel methods of fuel harvesting and the harm it does to Unicorns and Pixies.

I just wish people who think we need to urgently move away from fossil fuels would take the modest step of giving up air travel. Very few people genuinely need to fly, and most people on the planet manage to go their whole life without ever getting on a plane. It's a luxury, used for such trivial purposes as vacations and promoting books. And you can promote books just as effectively via the internet.

Hey I give credit to people like Klein and Suziki and Gore who aren't really environmentalists or frankly give a crap about the environment, but they're the ultimate capitalists in terms of seeing an opportunity to make a lot of money from it.
Sure they play the pious nodding their heads and crying out "But we're destroying the world" all while telling the rest of us that we have to change our lives, then they go to one of their multiple houses or mansions, via a heavy gas burning vehicle, or jet off to a conference that could probably be conducted remotely, but its in beautiful Rio, or Gay old Paris and they can get some shopping in.
In a lot of ways they are like Alex Jones, playing to the extreme elements of their movements because that's where the money is. These people will buy her books or go to her speeches so that they can knowingly nod their head and vomit out her "facts" and impress people on the tea and vodka circuit, who will go home and verbally masturbate in front of their colleagues about their afternoon with the great Klein or Suzuki or Al Gore.
But at the end of the day, the un-abridged truth is that these people are parasites and not even well meaning ones, their shoddily researched books and movies with "Creative license" mirror the activities of the people on the other side of the spectrum, and it becomes a battle for the middle who tend to roll their eyes at both sides of this war for not only our souls but the contents of our wallet. The modern capitalist takes advantage of the vulnerable, the people who refuse to do their own research, and the desperate to be part of something, who have money to burn.

Agreed. Any environmentalist who wants to wave their finger at us and come to Alberta to do it needs to show up on a horse-drawn wagon. And the wagon wheels cannot have any lubricant on the gears unless its whale oil.
