I think maybe you can question the Isco for Kroos one, but Car###al was injured and Benzema was subsituted in the 77th minute and was playing poorly.

It's not ideal, but it's not some disaster of managing.

Not to mention Bale cramping up this late. At the point Zidane made his third change he had the game won. But he lacked the vision of a possible extra time which might hurt them in this final stage of the game.

Penalties is his best case scenario at this point.
