Muzzin is pretty good, but that is a tough pill for Gio/Brodie. Would be very interested to hear who would be next in line. Those two, Letang and Subban are tough to leave off.
For the forwards, really surprised with Thornton. Love the guy, but I thought they would go with O'Reilly.

Too much input from the most overrated coach in the last 10 years. Taking Muzzin is weird considering the other options

I don't agree with it, but it's a reason Babcock has used for selections in the past.
It's kinda funny that Gio, Brodie, and Hamilton don't go and the Flames still have two d-men in the tourney.

Muzzin is a joke
I'd like to poll all the GMs in the league and ask how many take Marchand over Perry/Getzlaf along with others

Canada is running in to the problem they did in the late 90's when people like Rob Zamuner made the team, picking guys for spots rather than picking the best team
you don't need a checking line, you have the ability to make 4 1st lines
you don't need a Left side D, I am sure LeTang or Subban can figure it out

This is perfect. Now the boys on the back end come out of the gates with some fire in their belly and something to prove to the world, not just the league.
2017 Norris noms- Mark Giordano, T.J. Brodie and Dougie Hamilton.

I mean, I'm not going to say I won't watch, because I probably will, but this tournament just became a lot less interesting for me.

Pretty sure he wasn't at the worlds. I don't remember ever hearing his name anyways. Definitely an interesting choice. I like Muzzin, but number of better options I feel over him.
Disappointed Hamilton wasn't named, but can't say I'm surprised.
Truthfully I don't mind our top three guys not playing in the tournament. Let them use it for motivation and rest up for the upcoming season.

Maybe the best thing is for the team to lose so they can re-learn old lessons for future tournaments.

Seriously. That statement above underlines the fact that we are a starting goalie away from future success.

Choose a top 3:
Brodie-Subban
Letang
Or
Vlasic-Muzzin
Pietrangelo
That's a no brainer to me. Canada Cory and Trevored this one big time.

Too bad for Hamilton, and correct me if I am wrong, but isn't there a minimum of American players required on the team, such that Hamilton would need to beat out Parayko/Murray/Reilly and not so much Trouba (unless they rejigged the forwards)?

Not watching the announcement so I haven't heard any quotes. Looked it up though and like I thought Muzzin was not on the team. He played last year though which maybe is what he meant? Either way that's a lame reason.
