Default Marlins Finished With Girardi Already...?

This would be a shame...the job that he has done already, wow...

And since when is the manager responsible for what the players actually do on the field? I could maybe buy the Johnson one....but the outfielder....geez...

The Marlins are a sham. He's probably being fired for winning too many games. I think they spend less on their payroll than they get in revenue sharing. I don't think they are too far off the team from the Major League movies.

Unfortunately for Joe he will probably end up replacing Dusty Baker next year - poor guy deserves better than that

IIRC the Marlins payroll is just over 20 million. Alex Rodriguez makes 25 million a season. Jeffrey Loria needs to be rail roaded out of baseball.

Although I'm sure Cub fans would happily trade Baker as manager for Joe Girardi.

So he goes from the worst ownership group in baseball to possibly the second worst ownership group in baseball?

Lucky him. Although at least in Chicago he will not be fired until about three seasons after he should be.

This all is hinging on the fact that Chicago will finally fire Baker after years of incompetance. I wouldn't bet on that happening so quickly.

Way to go Loria, a guy comes in and does a manager of the year like job with your crap team and you give the guy a boot. Your a horrible buisness man, have fun getting even smaller crowds next year

Think Girardi goes to the Cubs? Although its apparently pretty much a done deal, Baker still has to be fired/not renewed from the Cubs...

^ Cubs got rid of Dusty yesterday - very good chance Girardi ends up there as I believe that's where his family lives

Ha, ooops missed that one. Too many sad days doing nothing but school work in the library....

Anyways, yup then I believe it will be pretty much of a done deal - pretty sure Girardi ends up there. On top of family, he also used to play there....it just seems a fit.
