Yeah big Marleau fan here too. Guy took a massive hit from Sarich a few years back in the playoffs. Big clean hit that gave Flames momentum. But Marleau showed extreme toughness coming right back and ultimately probably energized his own team more.
Hoping they win it all now.

Seriously, how can you dislike the Sharks? Look at who's on the team. Everyone wants to see Thornton and Marleau finally get one after all these years of being good and not getting a break. How about Pavelski and Couture? Is there a single team that doesn't wish they had on-ice leaders like those two? What about Joel Ward, you don't want to see that guy hoist a cup after all these years of solid playoff performances but no payoff? Brent Burns is awesome in every way. Vlasic, the criminally underrated, silent stable force? Tomas Hertl, who might be the happiest guy in the league? Or the goalie tandem - you don't want to see a rookie like Jones carry his team through? Or hell, even from the bench, get Reimer's name on the cup, a guy who was unfairly mistreated by the Leafs?
Name one player on the team you don't like. One.

Good point about the Lightning. If they're in I cheer for nothing and no one.
Don't care if there's a few like-able guys on the team. We play them far too often for me to root for them.

It's not like I hate any player on that team, for me, I HATE the team, period!!! I don't much care who's on that team, I just do not want that team to win the cup.

I like to see it this way, I do not want a rivalry team win the Cup before the Flames do. Also, I'd like to see that kid wonder goalie hoist the Cup.

If the Sharks win the Cup that will be 4 out of the last 10 years where a California team will have won it, and 3 out of the last 5.
All three of those teams will still be contenders next season too IMO.

I hate the team because they are rivalry, doesn't really need any reasoning to it. I've never liked them since they first join the league.

Lots of people here are cheering for the Sharks, I, along with a few others am not. Why is it so hard for everyone cheering for the Sharks to understand that some others just do not like the team, and will cheer against them?
We get it, you cheer for the Sharks now. No need to jump over anyone who chooses not too, and ask how they could possibly dislike San Jose. Nobody needs to justify who they are cheering for.
