Wow!

They ruined the Pizza Hut stuffed crust pizza commercial where the husband tells his wife he wanted to change things up and she thinks he's setting up a threesome with the pizza boy. I used to find the pizza boy's response "Ugggh, mmmm, pizza, mmmm, mmmm" funny but now it's just "huh, huh, huh, awkward" which is horribly acted.

Congratulations Mountain Dew. You did it. You made the dumbest commercial of all time with some sort of monkey dog or something ridiculous like that. It isn't funny and actually makes me angry that you give marketing a bad name.

Monkey puppy baby is the worst. Didn't buy mountain dew before and now won't even buy it by accident.

I don't think I've had mountain dew since the 90's. Now I definitely won't be changing that

This. Gerry Dee must have a relative in the industry, because he clearly has not made it on talent.

Speaking of car commercials, those insipid Chevy commercials with the metrosexual guy and the paid actors pretending to to be real people drive me up the wall. The "real people" are so fake that these spots outright insult the intelligence of the viewer.

As a rule, I will actively boycott any company that uses paid-actors-as-real-people or testimonials in commercials. Which means I'm currently also refusing to go to A&W and Swiss Chalet at the moment.

The whole 'I only have one remote, who gets it?' and then everyone has a device for the other car. Ugh

I don't get him at all. I assumed he was a Canadian thing and you have to watch a lot of CBC to understand.

It's a product marketed to ~20 year old single guys. Unless things have changed in the year since I was 20 three awesome things to me were not puppies, monkeys, and certainly not babies. Back then three awesome things were brunettes, blondes, and redheads.

I'm just reposting because the commercial is so bad one post isn't enough.

Oh Jesus, the ones where they've removed all the logos from the car to get "real reactions"? "It looks a lot like a BMW!" "It kind of reminds me of an Audi!" The only way that is possible is if you have never seen a BMW or an Audi in your lives. Regardless of your opinion as to whether it looks good or not, the Chevy Cruze looks nothing like either of those makes. There is no design in common. If you'd said "the front end reminds me a little of an Acura" I might have been able to sort of buy it, but BMW / Audi? You're just full of ####.

Even two or three posts isn't enough. It is the stupidest commercial I can think of in recent history. I can't believe someone thought of it, and it's even harder to believe that someone else liked it enough for it to get used.

Chevy Cruz commercial with the lane departure warning. ffs. So stupid.

Meanwhile, Gerry Dee did a pretty funny commercial for Toyota Tundra. I feel like advertising is just trying too hard. Way too hard.

Agreed. What I get out of it is Chevy condones driving in an impaired, sleep deprived, state.

The other one that bugs me is the new Tim's maple whatever where they say sorry. The girl at the start of it when she says "we're sorry..." I hear her say it with an American twang like "we're sorra..." I can't unhear it. Plus the whole saying sorry 35454738 times does not endear you to Canadians.

These marketing companies really need to use CP as their test market subjects.

I'll get back on my old man porch now.

P.S. Supreme Windows, manIfactured in Calgary. Arghhhh!!!!

Yeah these are terrible, especially since they mention the place every 3 seconds.
We need a place to live
How about Copper Field Park 17?
Copper Field Park 17?
Yes Copper Field Park 17!
I don't know what does Copper Field Park 17 have?
Well let me tell you, Copper Field Park 17 has things and stuff.
Wow we should totally move to Copper Field Park 17!

and never talk about it, ever, or it will get stuck in your head, and don't think they don't know that.
