I actually disagree with a lot of it.

Vancouver should be lower
Nashville should be higher
Columbus for sure should be higher, it's a miracle they still have any support all things considered
Detroit should be lower, I always see lots of empty seats
Dallas definitely should be lower
Florida arguably higher... Based on that franchise it's a miracle they sell any tickets at all
I'd agree Edmonton should be higher

Calgary is about right. I would also consider swapping Montreal and Toronto.

I agree with your points.

There is NO WAY Vancouver should be that high. Living in Vancouver, hockey isn't even a thing here anymore. The riot in 2011 really turned a lot of people off of hockey.

MTL most loyal? How do they measure that?

When the Habs are losing you don't hear a peep from Habs Nation. When they are winning they all come out of the wood work and won't STFU.

They are one of the most obnoxious fanbases when losing. Very easy to boo their own team when the going gets tough. Not sure if that enthusiasm should count as loyalty though. I'd say they are number 3-4 all things considered.

Boo or not. The Habs are never flavour of the month in that town, never struggle to sell tickets or merch, don't have to discount their product to sell tickets no matter how bad they might be. Sounds like a pretty loyal fan base to me. There was nothing scientific about this list at all, so of course it's debatable, and even if it was scientific, of course you are going to be able to debate the nitty gritty that separates the top few teams...............but can anyone really argue there is a part of the world where the hockey culture and the passion for the home team is significantly better than in Montreal?

"Arizona has been at the very bottom of the league standings for years, further signalling they have the least amount of loyalty and passion from their fans.
"

Hilarious.. We made the WCF like 4 years ago.. and had a run of playoff appearances before that. Maybe fans aren't loyal because there is a never ending streak of bull#### to deal with. OR maybe we could get credit for being as loyal as we have throughout all of that?

Just because you're loyal that doesn't represent the entire fan base.

Can you name one fan base less loyal? At least make an argument of where you should be.

I also wonder how they measured that. I lived in Montreal, and hockey did not seem nearly important to them as it does to Albertans. I'd have to search high and low for someone to talk hockey with.

A lot of people followed the Canadiens somewhat, but very few people were actually knowledgeable about the team. Same goes for the CFL.

As far as Canadian teams go, I was surprised to see Ottawa that high.

Leaf fans should be #1. They sold out for 20 years under Ballard. Even this year at 30th they sold out and had the highest ticket prices in the NHL.

Would be tough to argue the Leafs at number 1, so I'd be fine with that. However, one thing the Leafs have going for them unrelated to fan loyalty, even in comparison to Montreal is a rediculously under severed market. That area is large enough that it likely should have 3 NHL teams serving the market. The pure size of population base who's only local option for NHL hockey is the Leafs kind of assist those consistent sell outs and rediculous ticket prices.
