Agreed, the build efforts are very apparent on that trail. Sort of like a shorter, jumpier version of Tyler's trail in Bend. And you don't need a big bike to do it, unlike some of the other tracks up pneuma. I certainly will be donating to MMBTS this season.
Also had a spectacular crash riding with my kid yesterday. I was showing her how to huck the stairs between the Eau Claire Y and Barley Mill. SPD clip popped on me, very lucky to not go OTB. Just like a good dad, I pretended that it didn't hurt, that the blood running down my shoulder and knee were just booboos, and kept on riding.

In the possibly too much information category, I had a saddle sore a couple weeks ago. It was so painful I couldn't ride anymore. The good news is it went away after taking some soaks in the tub with Epsom salts. I found the key was to make the water as hot as I could sit in, and lay there for 15 minutes.
After seeing some pictures of saddle sores being drained, I was definitely trying to avoid that if possible. I took three days off without any riding, and five more days only commuting, to give my butt a break, and it paid off. I've had two long rides since then and I'm back to normal.

Sport chek sells in the impulse buy section a blue deodorant looking antichaf stick. I've been using it for cycling and also on my feet for soccer - it's amazing.

So I had a crappy and I mean crappy bike (No front derailleur, no front brake, bent chain, rusted, lower than supercylce quality) to ride on non commuting days from my parking spot to my office. Someone actually cut the cable lock and stole the $10 bike. I think the lock was worth more than the bike. I laughed when I saw the cut cable this morning.

As in this magic product will help with my continual blisters and hot spots from the one pair of cleats I could find in the city that sort of fit me?

The fact you had a bike to ride from your parking spot to the office is pretty awesome.
I left a crappy supercycle bike in front of my old apartment building on centre street for about a year, unlocked, and nobody took it. My fiance's bike was locked up next to it and somebody took the rear light and bell off of it but left the supercycle. Thought that was hilarious.

so, I rode into a headwind this morning, and I am now watching the flag at Chinook ctr and surprisingly the wind has shifted so that I will be riding ito it again. I fully expect that by 4 pm, the wind will be raging at 50 to 70 kph......
seems to me that this spring has been windier than previous springs......

I was thinking the very same thing as I rode into that headwind this morning too. Also the last couple weeks have had some windy mornings, usually tends to be calmer in the am with winds picking up in the pm.

In the same boat as you man. I ride north in the morning, south in the afternoon. Sucks riding into a head wind both ways.

I bought some assos chamois cream after I developed the saddle sore. I haven't had any further issues since I started using it. I don't know if it is actually doing anything or not, but it does give me a nice cooling sensation.

Oh and BTW, if you're using chamois cream on the reg, I recommend you look into picking up a pack of HTFU!
Nah, just kidding, chamois cream can be a life saver sometimes.

So, does this seam appear out of whack or is this normal?

The seam is normal, it is tough to tell if it is raised a bit close to the rubber though. Is it catching?
