Obviously inexcusable. People will think its his arrogant, self entitled personality showing.
Either way he'll learn a valuable lesson in keeping his composure regardless of how he feels about the situation or the people standing in his way.
I find it strange that people are so outraged. We all screw up and do and say stuff that is wrong and out of line. That is why we apologize, make things right, and move on.
If this happens again I might have a bigger issue.
He is also the guy that walked across the HoC and gave Rose Ambrose a hug after she talked about Fort Mac and the situation in Northern Alberta.

I can't believe this is even a thing.
I am very opposed to Mr Harper, but I'm also a person with eyes. If this was him I would think the exact same thing that I do right now.

I actually doubt it was a spontaneous, out-of-control act. Seemed a lot more like a deliberate gesture to make himself look forceful. Of course, it just made him look dumb.

lol much adieu about nothing. But maybe there should be penalty boxes in parliament, certainly many times where MPs behave like children that could use a timeout.

Harper would have never done that. He would have sent someone to do it for him.

Great idea. And if you mis-behave in the box, you get green slime dumped on you.

A penalty box in Parliament would be the mostly hilariously awesome Canadian thing ever.
I support it.

The ironic thing is some of the responses and attitudes here are the types of things feminists bitterly complain about. Bullying, unable to feel safe at work, victim blaming, intimidation etc. etc.

Really? He accidently bumped her on the way by while barely grabbing onto the arm of another person. I had to watch it three times to even notice anoything had happened to her. And I was looking for it.

Yep, but feminists take offense to everything and blow stuff way way out of proportion. And seeing Justin is a self professed hard core feminist he should be highly offended by his own behaviour. It is 2015 2016 after all.

Dont know about all that...looked very deliberate and on target to me. Though thats really secondary and not the issue IMO.
I think he still needs to tell the house what part of his duties compelled him to do so.
Truth is...you just cant go grab another adult and march them where you want unless you are a peace officer of sorts with the authority to do so.

I'm shocked a spoiled entitled rich kid acting like a spoiled entitled rich kid, but hey we should give him a break. The stress from his home life has been pretty tough lately with only Sophie , 2 nannies and a full time staffer to help out with the kids I don't know how he does it.

I actually admire how passionate they often are about their views.
Political discourse in the HoC is one of the great parts of our democracy.

hmmm....i was wondering what was going on at the time that triggered all this stuff.
Seems the Liberals are trying to make democracy their own version of things as they were tabling a motion to limit debate on contentious bills before the house.
Weird....I swear JT campaigned on being much more transparent and listening to all Canadians regardless of whom their MP was.
Between the BPO findings and this kind of stuff....those of you who think he is a whole lot different than the last boss may want to re-visit those thoughts.
Quote:
A surprise move by the Liberal government to take control over parliamentary debate on contentious bills like assisted suicide triggered an Opposition uproar Wednesday and later led to a shouting match and apology by the prime minister.

Technically assault. Standing and talking is not a crime, can't lay hands on someone if they are not committing a crime.

The speaker of the house sets rules regarding unparliamentary language. I'm guessing "get the **** out of the way" qualifies.
But you already knew that.

It was stupidity, all the way around. He shouldn't have done it. But the over-reaction is worse. Mulcair's raging fit was such a huge over-reaction, as is all the delicate flower soundbites and feigned outrage by any/all of the opposition parties. This country has far bigger things to worry about and every last one of the leaders and members of Parliament need to step off this tempest in a teapot and get down to some actual freaking business.
She got an elbow to the boob. So what? Did it fall off? Did she die? No. Accept the apology people, pull up your big kid undies and do your damn fecking jobs or gtfo.
I'll hand in my feminist card now. *eyeroll*
