Default The Who! baby, thats who.

So last night was the Who concert at the John Labatt Centre here in London and I have to say, if anyone is sitting on the fence, contemplating the high ticket prices, I'll say this....get out your credit card, pimp yourself out, sell your blood or an organ, because you have to go.

Such an amazing concert on so many levels. Both Daltry and Townsend are over 60 and you wouldn't even be able to tell. Daltrys voice is still spectacular and Townsend has got to be one of the greatest guitarists to ever walk.

They played a good chunk of their hits but also played a lot of new stuff which will be on their album out at the end of October. The new stuff was really really well done. Great songwriting as always.

Baba O'Reilly is was worth the price of admission alone. The concert was everything I could hope for and more as a die hard fan of The Who. So go see it. Its worth every penny.

Who do they have playing bass out of curiosity?

The Stones are here tonight. I didn't have the $300.

I can't remember the bassists name, but he was great. Played the solo in My Generation flawlessly. He was really really good. The second guitar was Pete Townsends brother, and the drummer is Ringo Starr's son Zach (?). Can't remember his last name, but its not Starr.

Zak Starkey they had to put off the album and tour for a while because he was touring with Oasis last year. I was going to go see the who in Dallas, but most of the seats were too expensive for crap seats.

I was going to ask if they still played My Generation.

Strikes me as very ironic. "I hope I die before I get old"

I'd love to see them.

Thursday should be fun. Booked a long time ago..for some reason thought it was the night between Flames games.

When I leave the concert and see the Corral burning, I'll assume that CP didn't like the loss (or, win) up in Edmonton.

Can anyone tell me who the opening band is? Can't find that info anywhere...

(Although I will probably miss them anyways).

EDIT

Inward Eye? Never heard of them...and probably never will hear them.

If you guys are interested, The Who released two new singles on itunes just the other day. Both of which they played at the concert, and both were very very good. "Its Not Enough" and "Tea and Theatre". Well worth the $0.99.

Just had a look at ticketmaster- I thought this was sold out but there are seats available; including floor row 2 for $127 each.

Here in London, it finished about 11. Maybe 5 or 10 after? I didn't really look to be honest with you.
