Trump promised Kentucky and WV coal miners he would bring their jobs back. What I want to know is how and aside from those jobs why?

The thing is if he can get out of NAFTA, I don't think Canada is going to benefit. We'll be lumped in with the Mexicans.

This is the issue here, most of our trade is with the US, any sort of protectionist trade policy in the US is never good for Canada. When you look at the details, cancelling Keystone was a protectionist policy and probably a violation of NAFTA. Look for more of this as part of a Trump presidency, in trade policy he is very left of centre and not far off Sanders.
I can' t really speak for the Americans, but both the G&M and the NP have studied the impact of a Trump presidency on The Canadian economy and its not seen as favourable.

'Very rude statements'........pot, meet kettle. What a little baby.
Quote:
Donald Trump said Monday London's new mayor made "very rude statements" about him -- and the presumptive Republican presidential nominee warned he won't have a good relationship with British Prime Minister David Cameron if he's elected.
|
Quote:
Asked about Cameron's remarks, Trump said he didn't care, but then added, "It looks like we're not going to have a very good relationship. Who knows, I hope to have a good relationship with him but it sounds like he's not willing to address the problem either."
He continued: "Number one, I'm not stupid, okay? I can tell you that right now. Just the opposite. Number two, in terms of divisive, I don't think I'm a divisive person, I'm a unifier, unlike our president now, I'm a unifier."
|
Quote:
Shortly after taking office, Khan criticized Trump's views of Islam as ignorant -- remarks that Trump said had offended him. The new mayor had been responding to a suggestion from Trump that he would make an "exception" to his proposed "temporary Muslim ban" for Khan.
"Let's take an I.Q. test," Trump said Monday, adding that Khan had never met him and "doesn't know what I'm all about."
"I think they're very rude statements and frankly, tell him, I will remember those statements. They're very nasty statements."

Just wait until he officially has the republican nomination locked down.
He either goes full blown primary Trump, or makes a drastic swing back to the centre, enraging his base of support.
Either way it's going to be a gongshow.

To step aside from the Don clown show for a minute. More interesting news regarding the Benghazi witch hunt. Not that it will change anyone's mind but at least it's out there.

I think He'll pick Newt because he impeached the first Clinton. Fits his ideas perfectly.

Not too many people have been sucking up to Trump and kissing his ass more than Newt has been this cycle. Gotta think he'll be one of the most likely VP candidates for Trump. The exact kind of pick you'd want from someone anti-establishment, picking maybe the single most establishment politician in America. Which is pretty much what you can expect from a prospective Trump cabinet, nothing but establishment politicians, despite the bluster.
