As I mentioned earlier in the game, the Raptors are much better playing under the rim. They are bigger and faster. You go to the rim and you either score, a foul or a miss. There was not a lot of turnover today because they weren't rushing the game. What a domination today. Now off to Cleveland.
C'mon now. Anything from here on out is an added bonus. They are not chokers.

I didn't call them a chokers. I was trying to be sarcastic because someone else was telling me that obviously I don't watch the Raptors much that's why I didn't know they always choke. I guess I still don't know the Raptors

They needed to get this far. Anything else is now bonus, winning a game or two in the East final will satisfy my. Lowry has turned it on at the right time so hopefully they can sneak out couple of wins.

Masai is an amazing GM, last years UFA pickups in Carroll, Bismack and Joseph playing really well.

The first time I saw Biyombo played for the Raptors, I thought he was a bum and wondering why the heck did they signed this guy. He couldn't shoot the free throw and he was just awful. I thought he is going to be in a bench a lot and won't see much time on the floor. I guess I was a 100% wrong on this guy. He is actually an energy guy, a lighter Junk Yard Dog type of player. He looks like he's improving more and more. He is definitely one of the best FA signing this season. I agree Joseph and Carroll was an awesome pickup as well. Joseph is a smart player and he is a winner. I guess he learned the winning attitudes from playing at San Antonio Spurs before. Carroll is a good two-way player. If Terence Ross and Patterson can be consistent every game, Raptors might get a chance to beat the Cavs. I thought Ross is a good player if he plays smart. He tends to be brain dead most of the time. Patterson on the other hand needs to use his size just like in tonight's game. Very impressed with him tonight. He knows he struggled shooting long bomb but instead of getting ticked off at himself, he gets after the ball.
Cavs will be a lot tougher to play against. They have some bigger players and they have Lebron James. I am sure refs will favour Lebron a lot but I don't think he will flop as much as Dwayne Wade. I like the Raptors chances against the Cavs if they play smart and discipline. I agree with you, win or lose this series I am already satisfied with their season. Beating the Cavs will make me and I am sure the whole country very proud. I can't wait to watch this series. I am guessing Carroll will play against Lebron a lot. I hope JV will be back soon.

I was definitely joking more than anything when I said give Biyombo a max deal, but if Tristan Thompson is worth $82 million over 5 years, why isn't Biyombo? Going to be a very interesting call this offseason as to what exactly to do with him. I would probably give them a 1 in 4 chance of beating the Cavs if Carroll and JV were both 100% healthy, but with Carroll looking around 80% and JV sounding unlikely to even play in the series I would think it's more a 1 in 20 chance.

Can't argue the results.

Kudos to Casey and DD.

I still think this team needs a new coach and to move on from DD in the offseason. But now I don't think they will.

You need couple of superstars to actually challenge for a championship. I can't remember the last a Cinderella team made it to finals let alone winning it, maybe Iverson's Sixers? Even they were a 56 win team.

Maybe the last Pistons championship team, even those guys had in prime Billups, Double Wallaces, Prince.

It's a game where one special player can actually dominate compared to other team sports.

Lowry has shown he can be that superstar guy with his regular season play.

http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/...ls-dark-horse/

He's not really on that top tier, but when we talk about superstar players, Lowry is getting up there.

Of course, in standard Regorium fashion, Derozan's BPM is +1.4. Basically if you have Derozan as "the guy", you have next to zero chance of winning the championship.

I suppose they could add another very good defensive player at the 4. Have BB back / get some progress from Powell and Wright and be a top notch defensive team. But how will they score? Only hope I see is that JV blossoms bigtime. Lowry and JV take over on offense shoving DD to 3rd option. The team wins on defense with just enough offense to get it done. Could work to get to the championship but win it? Against Curry et. al.?

Good first half of Thunder-Warriors but the Warriors lead by 15. Game seems closer then what it is but every time the Thunder make it a 4-6 point game, Warriors jack up couple of 3 to make it a double digit game again. Their shooting is just lethal.
