Good, I hated the idea of Plagueis surviving his apprentice who is arguably the most powerful Sith Lord in the line.
Basically to me anything but Sidious outsmarting his former Master, and killing him, and then being sure would make Sidious look like an incompetent bumbler.
Didn't kill his master, or thought he did but wasn't sure
Missed some dudes in order 66, sorry the dudes
Allowed his apprentice to sneak up on him and throw him down an elevator shaft.

So who the heck is Snoke then!! Re watched TFA again finally, second time through it wasn't as good.. but it was good enough to re establish the universe moving forward.

I think Snoke is going to be along the same lines as Rey, someone totally new.

Personally why does he have to be anybody?
As much as we want to link things between the original, prequels and new movies, it could be an incidental character
"I was a jedi knight and when order 66 came out I did what I had to do to survive. I fled from the Empire and learned to become powerful, and what the Jedi taught me wasn't enough"
It could be as simple as that.

There's that possibility, I've heard some pretty intriguing story line ideas that are close to what I would think are spoilers.
Personally.
If he's introduced, I would rather he was a incidental background character with like 5 minutes of screen time, either as some kind of Imperial Official, or a prisoner of the Empire who's about to die.
I keep going back in my mind to the idea of the Sith line being dead and gone, and Snoke is either a great con man, or a fallen Jedi or fallen force user and while powerful isn't the fully trained machine that Vader or Sidious were, and that's why he wants Ren's power so badly under his control.

I didn't mean that he had to be anyone linked to the movies I am just curious who the hell he is, where did he get trained, how old is he etc..
It was basically more of a cry out for details in the next movie than a HE BETTER BE DARTH VADERS BROTHER.

I do think that we got some pretty interesting tidbits in the movie.
Here's some thoughts.
I believe he was a jedi or passed himself off as a jedi and helped Luke train Jedi knights.
I also believe that he was a close friend of the Solo's
That comes from the familiarity that Leia talked about when she spoke of Snoke seducing her son to the darkside.
Its a personal theory, but I believe that Snoke's extensive scarring came during a confrontation with Luke Skywalker after the Jedi Temple was razed. To me it makes sense that Snoke a personal friend of Leia's and trusted advisor for Luke, seduced Kylo to the dark side with tales of grandeur about Darth Vader and how he had the vision and strength and desire to bring peace to the galaxy no matter what the cost.
When Luke found out that Snoke and Ren had destroyed the temple with the Knights of Ren (I think they're fallen Imperial Guards) he attacked Snoke and left him barely alive. Luke then realized how close he was to the dark side vanished.
I don't believe that Snoke is all powerful, which goes to Hans line about Snoke using Ren for his power. Also I believe that Snoke's knowledge of the force is suspect as Ren seems to be basically trained.
What he was before he infilitrated into Solo's and Skywalkers lives is up for debate on if he's a familiar character or not.
For all we know, he's a projection of IG-88 who btw is completely canon.

It would make sense that he was someone they knew before hand because then he could get close to him. In any game surrounding Star Wars right now force sensitives are being revealed by the boat full surrounding the original series timeline.. so it makes sense after the Empire is defeated that more would come forth. Especially if Luke is openly calling to them. So perhaps this guy was older but helped out with the training at the school, then when Ren would ask about his Grandfather Luke would brush it off and not talk to him about it, so he found the information elsewhere. Snoke saw his opening and began manipulating Ren, eventually pushing him to believe that Luke was purposely holding him back or keeping things from him out of jealousy or whatever motivation, causes Ren to snap.

So some spoilery information about a cameo in the next Star Wars movie
Spoiler!
Tom Hardy plays a First Order stormtrooper.
Said stormtrooper glimpses FN-2187 on a secret mission but doesn’t realize it.
The “incognito” FN-2187 is surprised when the stormtrooper walks up behind him and slaps him on the ass.
FN-2187 turns around and believes he’s dead. He’s surely going to be captured.
The stormtrooper is elated to see his old friend from back during their First Order academy days.
The stormtrooper congratulates FN-2187 on his promotion to Resistance infiltrator and spy.
FN-2187 is free to go about his business to his amazement.

they implied in the last movie that the troopers were brain washed and were being monitored by complex brain algorithms. The old "academy days" shouldn't be a time of college memories for them they can rehash together, but more of a brainwashing blur

Remember that the Clones were also brainwashed, and trained by Computers and strict algorithms, and in TCW they very much had the comradeship going on in the animated series.
We also saw that Stormtroopers are capable of having what I would think are attachments to their squadmates, we saw that with Finn in the first battle, and even in the other battles in FA we saw them dragging wounded away etc.
They aren't robots. They're almost like cult members.

I hope Bobba Fett is dead to be honest, one of the most annoying characters especially in the Legends EU where he made a powerful Sith Lord like Jacen Solo (who was a putz as well) look like an idiot.
Karen Traviss or whatever her name is did more harm to that character with her Mandalorian masterbatory fantasy books then Lucas ever could in 10 minutes of screen time.

Clearly Snoke is Karen Traviss

I'd like to say Boba is dead... but there is money to be made and Mickey loves his money.
If they did bring him back though it would suck, where has he been for the last 30 years? And isn't he the son of a Clone? Meaning he would have clone DNA and dont they have a shorter life span?
Boba Fett is like the Ana Kournikova of the Star Wars Universe, he looks great and people love him, but when push comes to shove he is actually quite crappy at his job.

Hey now, Anna was ranked #1 in doubles and did win a few doubles Grand Slam titles.
