Well who really knows, but apparently it was WHU fans throwing bottles and such.

You know what I love about the United fans constant crying about the current status of their team? There's still a chance they improve their year over year finish. Can still finish 3rd and not even have to do the Champions League playoff. That's not an endorsement of Van Gaal's job performance or anything, just kind of odd they seem apoplectic about things when in reality they really aren't that bad. Especially with a younger team and not a middle aged team like Arsenal. I'd probably be more optimistic but maybe that's just me.

And what a memorable way to bid farewell to your 100 year old building! Throwing bottles at the visiting team bus and singing songs about Tottenham. Obviously a complete picture of class. Nothing small-time about that club!

I'm having a hard time deciding which version of the train wreck I want to see. It would be hilarious if Arsenal lost to Villa, and ended up 5th. It would also be hilarious to see City get caught and drop to 5th. And well United and the whole circus there is amusing as well.

yeah, it's our fault. We should really be happy about scrambling to reach top 4, scoring 44 goals in the league, playing dull boring football and crashing out of an easy CL group. All of that after investing over 250m in new players over the last two years.
if United want to turn into another Arsenal or Liverpool, then yeah, the club is right on track.

I think what you're going to have to accept is that unless United are joining their own version of the Bundesliga or Ligue 1, winning all the time is going to be a lot more difficult than it used to be and will only get tougher. The days of United finishing first or second every year are almost certainly over and its through not fault of their own. As more teams get more money, its going to make for a more competitive league with more parity. The 10th best team in the PL now is much better than the 10th best team in the early 2000's. Makes for a better league and more compelling product, but yeah, also means the big boys can't dominate like they're used to.

it's not about finishing 1st or 2nd all the time. It's about being happy being average and playing a sad brand of football.

Also as a United fan are you more mad about missing a signing or Sanches specifically?
40m on an 18 year old, just go spend 25 on Kroos or Nianggolen

I don't think it is disappointment with finishing out of the top 2 but the way in which it it plays out. One of the best ways this has been put has been by Arseblog over the years. He doesn't expect Arsenal to go unbeaten or finish in the top 2 every season but he does expect them to compete for the title as best they can. Neither Arsenal nor United competed as best as they could have this season. As much as it hurts to say, Spurs are the only PL club with means that can be proud of their efforts this season.

Back to today's match, Martial scores as United tie it up. 40 minutes left in their CL hopes.

Are West Ham fans just really pissed at the move to Olympic Stadium and this is some kind of over the top protest? Otherwise I don't get why they're so pissed off tonight.

Yes, potentially finishing 3rd is a good reason to jump off a bridge and becoming a City fan overnight. United fans are just drama queens.
