Dallas was terrible in the 3rd. StL was pressuring on the breakout but Dallas got zero bounces and made some really uninspired plays in the final frame.
I can still see Dallas taking this to 7.

The Blues are too deep. The Stars have a lot of offensive weapons, but the Blues can roll four lines that all play a strong two-way game. They're probably the most balanced team in the league.

Blues also have the better or at least more consistent goaltending. Ah well. That 2nd is still found money on the Russell return.

Seguin's wheels would have really come in handy.

Even when the Flames aren't playing, they still get screwed by afternoon games!

Still have some hope the Stars can win two in a row. It's about time for a standard Blues playoff choke.

Pisses me off the Flames can't get even just a little luck one way or the other, from the draft lottery to the stars coming within 2 games, it just blows man.

No, he did not travel with the team to St Louis. Patrick Eaves did, however

Yeah a Blues choke job is really our only shot here. They look much better than the Stars.

The Stars' goaltending/D has not been good enough...it was what many had speculated to be the "Achilles heel" of this team as they ripped through the regular season. And this looks to be what will cost you Flames' fans the draft position bonus you guys/gals had been hoping for.
Again...I have nothing but contempt for Hitchcock's "system", which to my observation simply to be nothing but holding and cross checking, off the puck, to "wear down" and "contain" opponent offensive stars, picks (of the trap-block variety) and interference on zone entries/exits, or to remove defenders from board battles...even to brush blocking goaltenders at every opportunity...the gutlessness of "playoff" NHL officiating has disgusted me...the stuff that got called all year is let go, especially late, in close games...the Blues have taken full advantage of, so far, through 2 rounds.

He's absolutely correct though. The Blues do play a dirty game, and are definitely taking advantage of the wishy washy officiating.

All the so-called "heavy" teams get away with murder in the playoffs when the refs put their whistles away, it's not just the Blues.
