Well from what Estrada was posting and i agree with , his job would not be that lousy. Of all 3 teams rumoured to be on him, the Senators job would be the least stressfull. I think Estrada is right when saying just making the playoffs for a bunch of years in a row would be a win in the owners eyes.

Or most stressful. Expectation of spinning straw into gold with a shoe-string budget and an insular, anti-progressive hockey ops.

I wished I could get fired and then get head hunted by 3 different companies begging for my services.

Boomer just reported that the Boudreau offer from the Flames is not true according to his sources.

Interesting talk on the Fan960 about John Stevens. Going over his accomplishments and current work with LA. I could live with this, but will be disappointed if it isn't Boudreau here. So many boxes checked if he were the guy.

Friedman also seemed to indicate on the FAN that Boudreau would love to be in Ottawa and Melnyk would love to have him. I'd be willing to bet that this deal gets done by tomorrow.

Chris Nichols @NicholsOnHockey
Friedman: I wouldn't be surprised if a guy like Geoff Ward is interviewed for #Flames' job.

Ward's resume:

More from Chris Nichols

Friedman: "I wouldn't be surprised if Travis Green is in the mix" in Calgary as well. #Flames #Canucks

Friedman: "The word I've been told about Calgary's job is that it's about presence." Not as much about experience as it is presence. #Flames

If it's not gonna be Gabby then I'd love to see a younger guy like Travis Green.

It means Friedman has no idea what the Flames are going to do. He said it could be a veteran guy or new blood.

Probably someone with personality who can grab the room and command respect, not necessarily a task master though.

Sounds exactly like Boudreau, exactly the opposite of Playfair.

Side note, obviously every great coach was once an unproven rookie but goddman, the 06-07 Jim Playfair experience has traumatized me in regards to hiring the hot young AHL coach. What a disaster.

Given the lack of rumours around Hamilton and the Hartley exit I can only assume nobody really knows or will know what's going down in Calgary.

Which is good ...

BINGO! That is the best thing about this regime IMO.

They worked the Russell market up via media, but don't tell them anything important.

I like this edition of Burke and BT.

Did he just not like you...?

I for one, will not be swayed from opinion of someone because someone else has something negative to say about someone while having beers with them... Once.

Orange Julious type stuff right there. Sorry.

He was a decent p and coming young gun last time he was HC and ind of fell flat, but since then he has worked with Sutter and I'd feel confident he's got what it takes to succeed now. Wouldn't mind John Stevens as an option for the Flames. Still think it is Boudreau though, regardless of familial ties in Ottawa.
