Sorry, I got side tracked on my response from your original post. It does look legit, but wouldn't be immediate.

Regarding the accident yesterday, near Conklin:
Link
Quote:
Fort McMurray Public School District family is in mourning. We lost Emily Ryan, our Fort McMurray Composite High School grade nine student who passed away in the Hwy 881 crash yesterday.
"Emily Ryan, one of the triplets, died at the scene. She was a vibrant, engaging member of our student body," said Kevin Bergen, Principal, Fort McMurray Composite High School.
"We are shocked, and saddened. Our prayers and thoughts are with Emily's family as they deal with this trying situation," said Doug Nicholls, Superintendent, FMPSD.

While they don't call it the 'Daily Fail' for nothing, Britain's Daily Mail can sure build an impressive photo gallery:

I'm getting all verklempt about this. People are really rallying together.
Put the Peanut family down for $333.33. Company match plus Trudeau match makes it $1000 all together.

I will figure out my donation tonight. I just heard from a friend of mine up there. His house burnt down in Slave Lake and he was transferred to Ft. McMurray a year later.
He bought a place in the Waterways which looks to be destroyed now. The odds of this happening twice must be huge. That said, he is in good spirits and is already planning to return as soon as possible to open up his pharmacy to service the rescue operations.

I haven't had a chance to catch up on the thread. We were in a seemingly safe place last evening when all of a sudden, about 10 pm, about 5 cop cars came roaring in to where we were and said we had to go NOW. Looked back and we immediately saw why. The fire seemed to be running East at the time, not South towards us so we went a safe distance down 63 and slept in our cars overnight...well...."slept". We were reluctantly allowed to go back there this morning for a short time, but it became quickly apparent we were in a bad spot. Finally pulled the plug and headed south. I've dropped off my friends boat in Athabasca and I've checked into a hotel in Edmonton. I think I will take the night off from the news tonight and just take a little break; let things set it. I've seen enough for the moment. Good luck to everyone who still finds themselves in the area, and to those with friends and family in the area. I can't say enough about the firefighters, police, and volunteer services I've seen over the last couple of days. Incredible is the only word that even comes close.

We also watched veritable Armies of police, tactical command centre trailers, sherriffs, National Emegency response trailers and trucks, Urban Search and Rescue trucks, firetrucks ( a couple on trailers from the city of Calgary), peace officers, dozers, and so on headed North while we were bugging out. They are throwing everything at this, but I don't know....

Donated $150. Sorry if it's been said already, but are crews starting to get a handle on the fires? Or is it getting worse?

Awesome! Just a minor question... wouldn't it be 4x and not 3x? Unless the company donation is different?
Trudeau has stated they will match donations to Red Cross. If you donate $333.33 to Red Cross and Company matches that donation to Red Cross for a total of $666.66, Trudeau would have to put in $666.66 to match Red Cross donations for a total of $1333.32, no?
Either way. Awesome to hear.
