This can't be anything but a black mark on Pep's resume. Great coach but each year Bayern fell apart formwise at the most crucial part of the season

No offense to Pep, but even Van Gaal made a Champions League final with Bayern.

Athletico deserves the title at this point - made it through Bayern and Barca. Simeone is a freaking mad man though.

Damned straight. Go Diego Go.

yup. Heck, if you beat both Barcelona and Bayern you shouldn't even have to win another match in order to get the trophy.

Could you imagine having to beat Barca, Bayern and Real Madrid? Hell yes they deserve it.

Man, I'm at such a split.
I want City to miss CL, but I don't want United to make top 4, and keep LVG.

Has any team ever had to go thru Real, Barcelona & Bayern in the Knock Out stages before? Arguably the toughest path any team has ever had.

I honestly doubt United will keep van Gaal even if they finish 4th and win the FA Cup. It'll be Jose next year.

Well if theres any truth to that INSANE pre-contract contract then yeah because otherwise they're just paying him money for nothing.

nah man ... I don't remember which "newspaper" made that claim, but I'm pretty sure it was one of the rubbish tabloid bull####ters. No club in their right mind would draft a contract like that.

Besides looking like Ken Griffey Jr. with an enlarged head from the Simpsons, Kompany's claim to fame is basically always being hurt. Fragile is being generous.

no kidding. I know they're probably buying Laporte in the summer, but they actually need to bring in at least one other center half too ... Kompany is brittle; Demichelis is - in terms of footspeed - the football version of Kevin Bieksa; and both Mangala and Otamendi have been disappointing, especially in relation to the huge money they paid for them.
