A great step for Steven Diez, as he's qualified for the ATP 250 main draw in Estoril, a first in his career. He's only played in Futures and Challengers this year. Otherwise, he's been in qualifying rounds of ATP events, but never made it all the way through.

That's awesome and he gets Japanese Taro Daniel in round 1 which is winnable.

Shapovalov won the title woo.

Vasek is in Munich, Germany this week where they are battling the elements (including snow)...

Canada's Vasek Pospisil, seeded seventh in singles, experienced a taste of home weather with the April snow. He took to Twitter to comment on the rare conditions.

"We heard that it might snow today and I have to admit I was a bit excited because I rarely get to see snow anymore," said Pospisil. "I started the day with a run outside and it was snowing a bit, which was good enough for me. It seemed to clear up but then it started snowing again when I began practising a few hours later. It was coming down pretty hard at one point. It was the first time I have played in snow as a professional and I have to admit that, although I had played in snow as a youngster growing up in Canada, I didn’t think it would ever happen again. It actually made me feel right at home this week. Canadians don’t shy away from cold weather."

Unfortunately, Diez lost today: 7-5 6-1. Looks like it was even Steven in that first set though.

Looks like Hogstedt is out as Genie's coach.

Bouchard will have Cyril Saulnier, a French former Tour player who is the director of a tennis academy in South Florida and has served as a hitting partner for Bouchard on several occasions this year, with her in Madrid, Rome and likely also at the French Open.

Saviano is expected to be in Paris.

Speaking of Genie, no luck today versus Begu in Madrid. The match went over two and a half hours, but she fell in three sets: 6-4, 3-6, 6-4. Milos and Vasek play tomorrow.

Radek Stepanek defeats Vasek in three sets (6-1, 6-7(4), 6-4). I saw some of the match and Vasek is struggling with all aspects of his game (inconsistent serve and the ground strokes are just not as crisp as they should be).

Dolgopolov can be a tricky player (quirky service motion) and is a tough player. That's a nice win for Milos especially on the clay.

Nick Kyrgios defeated Stan Wawrinka in two tie-breakers. Milos will likely face Tsonga in his next match and is likely on a collision course with Joker down the road.

Milos up a break in set 2. It would be great to finish off Tsonga without needing a third set.
