Watching the conference (and of course I've seen the tweets), I now no longer feel this have to do with who else has become available.

Sounds to me like, Treliving just took his time to evaluate. Fact is, Bob wasn't Treliving's guy, but when he first came in, based on all the changes around the org. felt like keeping Bob in place was the best thing for the team at the time, and was good enough for the teams need then.

But clear moving forward, Treliving doesn't think he's the guy that can take this team to the next level and what it needs to get better. Probably a combo of Treliving thinking just purely there are better coaches out there, and specifically better coaches for the style of play he wants and the type of players we have.

Sorry just to be clear, the above are my thoughts, not what Treliving is saying.

As grateful as I am for Hartley, the more I think about it, the more I like this decision. Our management has balls.

Thought something was going down.

Jamie Pringle's daughter goes to my daughters' dance school, his wife said that they're moving to Moose Jaw or something.

My only guess would be that Ortio is really comfortable with Sigalet and maybe they see good work out of him even though the veterans shat the bed

I really don't buy that they weren't considering other coaches when they decided to fire Hartley. To me they must have someone in mind or Hartley would still be the coach.

Oh man, we're going to have to dust off Sutter's 'To Be Quite Honest' drinking Game and re-brand it 'The Process' Drinking Game.

Every time Brad Treliving uses the word 'Process' you have to drink.

Come on liver, dont fail me now!

I am not really surprised, but I hope it is not Boudrea. With his track record he would likely continue the Flames painful history of losing Game 7's on home ice.

Agreed. I believe that they wanted to move on anyway, but there's no way they don't already have a guy in mind

'Thats a good question Jermaine.'

Words I thought I'd never hear from a Flames GM. Especially as no, it was not a good question.

I choose to believe Treliving and take him at his word. Nothing in his past or track record suggests I shouldn't.

Maybe new head coach brought in will have authority to change the goalie coach?

We can break each others pitfalls. Bruce would likely win a game at the Honda center. Flames can break his game 7 losing streaks
