Gotta think there's better options out there. Maybe if it gets to the end of summer and nothing has come to fruition you look at a 1 year deal. Maybe...

He's a talented winger we need more of those.

The competition in this league is too strong to operate on a moral high horse all the time like this.
True, but chemistry is often the most overlooked thing when it comes to building a team from a fans' perspective. We all see the stats and numbers and assume it's an automatic fit. But rarely does it ever come down to strictly that.

I just see Radulov as a guy who messes with the team chemistry. I see him head butting with Hartley from day 1 and being in the dog house. I see him and his agent 'demanding' top 6 ice-time without having earned it and sulking if he gets bumped down.

Having said that, he's a true talent and might have great chemistry on the 1st line. I'd probably be fine with a 1 year 'prove it to me' deal and see where that leads afterwards. But I have a feeling the people who want him here based on strictly his skill will be the ones eating crow when he inevitably brings a distraction to the locker room.

Maybe he's changed, maybe he hasn't. None of us will ever truly know unless we're in the locker room. But he's proven himself over time to be a distraction and selfish player.

I'd be more comfortable watching him sign with another team, proving himself to have changed, and then signing him the next off season.

No

He's going to be 30 years old on July 1st so by forward standards, so this guy is old. I believe you still need to give Nashville something to get his rights because he never accrued his required number of pro seasons. He doesn't do anything to help out with size or grit.

I suspect his return to the NHL will be similar to what Nikolai Zherdev had when he came back after a year away with the Flyers.

The Flames do need to add skill to the top 6, but they can't do so at the expense of character, and this guy oozes, lack of character.

Depends.

I'm interested in anybody at the right price provided they're an upgrade on the presumptive minimum alternative. But it's likely irrelevant because I don't think he'd come to Calgary all things being equal.

It's too much of a nightmare there

How about this, I'd rather Iggy coming back ( I'm not a supporter of that either) than to acquire this clown

A big NAY for me

No thank you. SO much no thank you that it may overload the pipelines. We need players who will buy into a system and sacrifice for each other. Radulov has proven he is NOT that guy, time and time again.

Is he free to sign anywhere without Nashville trading his rights? I read in an article that he was making a boat load over in the KHL - up to 10 mil per. If he'd sign for a small salary, definitely take a chance on him.

No. Nope. No way. Uh-uh. Forget it.

I mean, he has talent. His talent alone is tempting. The rest of the stuff he brings to the table out weighs his talent in my opinion. You don't want his type of attitude on a young team.

People change. He could've matured in 4 years.
But he may not of. Who knows.
Lots of baggage for sure.
His skill set is undeniable though.
If cheap enough, I'd take him for a year.
All this speculation is irrelevant though: I think he'll sign elsewhere.
