Please be Calgary, Phoenix, Carolina! Please, please, please, please, please, please please!!!!
And if the Oilers balls get lost and they don't get to pick at all, that would just be an added bonus!

How did the highest draft pick in Flames history turn out? Is anyone having a draft party? I'm having a few folks around for a BBQ - looking forward to a 1st/2nd/3rd pick. Totally bummer if we drop. This new lottery system from the NHL is quite brilliant with better odds for all!

How long has this been televised? I remember this thing being televised but not live and I am getting the impression this is actually live?
Will this one be the highest televised ratings drafts ever?

I'm glad the one month speculation of where the Flames will draft in the first round is nearly over. Let the two month speculation of who the Flames will draft in the first round begin!

All that is known is that the possibility is strong.

If the league awards an expansion team to Las Vegas and gives them one of the top 3 picks.
So in other words, it's impossible.

So I haven't really been following, which teams are more likely to take Laine ahead of Matthews?

Almost none. Matthews is virtually a consensus #1.

Bob Mac tweeted yesterday that one lottery team has Laine #1. Probably Edmonton though. It only takes one.

We're relatively strong at center for a team so low in the standings. Yeah, we seem a likely candidate to go for Laine.
