So the Paxton Lynch era begins.

It sounds like other than needing to teach him how to take both 3 and 5 step drops, read the field, use his eyes, go through progressions, and play under centre he's a sure fire thing. Sweet. At least he'll be able to fill in for someone doing civil war reenactments or Pirates of the Caribbean cosplay on the weekends.

Grumble grumble grumble.

I was CERTAIN that Josh Doctson would fall to the Vikings after the Texans took Fuller.

Not that I'm upset with the Treadwell pick, as he fits exactly what the Vikings need. It's that I just personally preferred Doctson.

Could they drag the first round out any longer? Just get on with it already and cut the 10 minute clock down to 7 or something. And it's a shame that each team doesn't announce their own pick.

Remember a few years ago when they had 15min between picks in the first round? Seemed like everybody would take it right to the wire too, to see if anyone tried to trade with them or something. I think the 2007 Draft clocked in at 8.5hrs when it finally wrapped up.

The road to the second and third round runs through Berea and the Browns control virtually all traffic on it with Friday's first pick (No. 32 overall) and four selections in total, including three in the third round (Nos. 65, 76-77).

The Titans also are in great shape with the Nos. 33, 43, 45 and 64 picks. But after having a night to sleep on it, NFL general managers wanting that one special player at the top of Friday's board need to contact the Browns first.

The Browns can go a lot of ways here after trading down twice in the first round, drafting Baylor receiver Corey Coleman at No. 15 and adding more picks. They have a pair of first- and second-rounder already in stock for 2017.

The Browns turned the No. 2 pick in this draft into the following:
  1. Corey Coleman, the first wide receiver drafted. At Baylor, he was the Biletnikoff Award winner as the nation's top receiver.
  2. A first-round pick in 2017 from Philadelphia.
  3. A second-round pick in 2017 from Tennessee.
  4. A second-round pick in 2018 from Philadelphia.
  5. Two third-round picks (No. 76 and 77) in this draft.
  6. A fourth-round pick (No. 100) in this draft.
  7. The Browns also traded a 2017 fourth-rounder to Philadelphia and the 176th pick in this draft to Tennessee.
This is analytics at work. It's also the approach that Bill Belichick has used for years in New England.

Maybe we can acquire an aging veteran star to bridge the gap until he's ready. Then he can sign with another team in 4 years when management coddles the veteran's ego and alienates him.

Cowboys trying to move up to #32 according to Jim Miller on NFL network radio.

Myles Jack does NOT need microfracture surgery according to the infamous Dr. James Andrews.

Happy to see Myles Jack and Jayson Smith both go early in this next round. Hope they both recover quickly and turn out well

plus Fowler will be healthy for next year after missing his rookie season, they are adding 3 top 5 talents to that defense for next year

with the offenses growth they could make a big jump next year

No surprise- Hardy done in Dallas. Gotta be a complete jackass when even they are sick of your antics. Curious to see if anyone gives him a chance.

If Jerry give up on you then you're basically done. I don't think he gets a shot.

Which makes you wonder if he gives the CFL a shot to try to prove his worth again.
