Figured this video works here. Thought someone liked Finger Cookin would appreciate it.
I don't know about that. Lamenting about major changes from source materials when the entire franchise has been riddled with them for 16+ years seems like being a little hung up on it to me. But maybe I'm wrong.

I would respect you more if you published a well made youtube video. Alas.

My theory is that this scene is from the after credits, as a lead in to the next Wolverine movie and Jackman's last hurrah.

It doesn't bother me that Mystique has been given such a prominent role but I can't stand Jennifer Lawrence as the character. I think she's a good actress but I've felt she was miscast since the first film.

Maybe it's just the music, but it felt really cheesy to me. I wish Apocalypse's voice was a bit deeper as well.
I'd also like to see Apocalypse with a deeper more robotic voice...although I can see why he might want to camouflage himself as well. I'm guessing they'll be some big action sequences when they let Apocalypse cut loose and his appearance and voice does change dramatically.

Another photo was released, this one is confusing for me as it definitely has a plot spoiler in it, but I guess we could have seen it coming. It is a photo of various characters in full costume, I really think they nailed the look of the X-Men in this movie, gets me excited.
Spoiler!
Also Cyclops is locked up for two more movies:

While a number of spinoff X-Men movies are in the works ("New Mutants," "Gambit," "X-Force," a third "Wolverine" and a sequel to "Deadpool"), the future of the flagship franchise is a little bit less clear. A team-based follow-up to "X-Men: Apocalypse" has not been officially announced yet, but at least one of the film's newcomers has a contract that indicates there will be more X-Men team movies in the future.
As revealed in Entertainment Weekly's profile of Tye Sheridan, who plays Cyclops in "Apocalypse," the 19-year-old actor has signed on for two additional X-Men films. That's a big commitment considering that Sheridan didn't see any of the "X-Men" films until 2014's "X-Men: Days of Future Past."
Rumours hinting at the Dark Phoenix Saga as the next X-Men movie.

Hopefully, we'll get a true translation of the Dark Phoenix Saga, as opposed to X-3, which just crammed an evil Jean Grey into an already saturated story line.

Agreed
Thing is... I cant see anything translating from cartoon to real life without looking horribly stupid. I mostly don't really want to see any superheros in tight spandex in real life(it wouldn't really fit with a future narrative). I think the plausibility of what that alternate universe would look like is already kinda getting stretched thin.
Shoehorning an adult movie into a children's cartoon might be too much.
Adapting from an adaptation is like photocopying a photocopy. You lose something. There's no need to adapt an X-Men movie from any of its cartoon adaptations.
