Costco is the best if you have time and want the cheapest price. Next time I do tires I'm not going there again, my mechanic (or most reputable tire shops) could have had them on the truck a day or two later, mounted and balanced for about $20 more a tire.

I seriously wonder if they're softer or something. I have had at least three flat tires with these and while today it was a screw I think that the most peculiar was on a gravel road in the middle of nowhere and the tire just punctured on some object. The other time I remember it was about a 3 hour ordeal to get the jack free and then the jack literally broke and collapsed just as the spare was in place. So frustrating. It could be just unlucky I guess, but it does make me wonder.

It's not just you. Those wranglers are the worst tire I've ever driven on.

Just a heads up, if you're waiting a while to have them replaced, I wouldn't be using 4x4 with one spare and 3 bald-ish tires.

Well they're not bald-ish. But it was a scenario where I would've done them in the fall likely, so the flat just pushes me up 4-5 months.

I just bought some tires at Costco. In and out of there in about an hour. The lady at the desk was saying how tire changeovers (if you didn't buy the tires at Costco) are first come first served and people were lining up at 6am to get theirs changed over. They have good service but not sure if it's worth a 5 hour wait

I don't care how good the service is at 'Urban-X'. I won't go there on principal because it sounds like a place I would buy a contemporary lamp, wine rack and potpourri burner.

Silly name aside I love those guys.

But for truck tires they I don't think they'd be able to match other prices out there. Sucks that with the dollar the way they are right now, online isn't really an option. Even a Canadian retailer like 1010tires, once you get it shipped it's about what they'd cost installed at a place like Kal-Tire.

I still need to put some all seasons on my wifes car, still has the winter tires on there. I was just going to go to Costco. Canadian Tire is cheaper, but that seems to be reflected in the quality. I'd like this to be the last set of tires I put on that car between now and selling it. She uses it to commute out to her work, about 90K each way, so her car puts on pretty heavy K each year. I was looking at the Michelin Defender's. They get a good rating on Tire Rack and will slot in right around 700-750 after taxes and install fees. She drives a Mazda 3.

I put the Wrangler Duratrac's on my Silverado last spring, no complaints here. My Truck doesn't see much city K, I've got a crappy old Alero for the work commute, but it sees heavy use plowing through deep snow ice fishing and muddy, soft boat launches in the summer. Never had any problems with those tires on. However.. that could also be because it's a Chevy They are noisy though on the highway. I drown that out with some Dr. Hook.

Canadian Tire only seems cheaper because they don't include any fees in the online price. When I got actual quotes from them it was more expensive than Costco. ($50 a tire in install/mounting charges)

Stick with Costco or Urban X.

Caught a good deal on 1010tires about a month ago. Decent price for the tires I was looking for, and free shipping. Even with a local shop doing the mounting and balancing (I prefer a road-force), I am still ahead about $300.

I got winters at Urban-X. Good price, good service to get my business but I had some warranty issues with two of the rims, and they wouldn't help me. Essentially a piece fell off the rims after a week. Nothing major, just cosmetic, but now they look like crap. So Urban-X is a no for me.
Last set of all seasons I went to Costco and got Michelins for for my f150. Those Wranglers are garbage. I would recommend Costco

Check your PM's Slava.

I can do these in your size for $183.50 each. 1010 lists them for $258.99. They are snowflake rated as well. General has a great reputation for durability. A lot of fleets use them for the balance of affordability/quality.

GODDAMN, if I knew this 12 months ago when I bought my f150 I'd be on it like a fat kid on a smartie.

I would recommend Country Tire on Edmonton trail. I bought some Michelins from them after checking out Costco and a few other places. The price was really similar to Costco but the service was way better.

I just wanted to bump this and give a huge recommendation to pylon! I was going to use one of the other recommendations, but his deal seemed to be the best and simplest for me. He didn't disappoint! The tires are awesome and from what I can tell were an excellent deal. I had them put on and even got a follow-up call from pylon on his own time to make sure that everything went smoothly and properly. I can't recommend this enough!

I've been using those tires for 2-3 years now. I ditched the winter tires and got the Grabbers with the snowflake, and they're great year round. You will not be disappointed. Nice to know that pylon can hook me up in the future. I was getting them from a guy (named Guy!) who just sells them ($675 for 4), but does not mount and balance, so I have to take them to Kal Tire and pay $125. $800 all in was a hell of a deal, but Pylon just undercut it by over $60, plus the convenience of one stop.

They're seriously awesome tires for the price. I've recommended them for 4 of my friends, and they're all hooked as well.
